It's pretty smart CYA. Whether and how much they enforce it is up in the air anyway. They're just anticipating the inevitable SJW crusadewhich had already started before Amazon even bought twitch, btw.

I noticed Swifty seems to have his whole house rigged with cameras for twitch which is pretty creepy. I vaguely remember the guy from the last time I played wow. Is it becoming for common for people to turn their lives in the paid(kinda) reality TV?

I think they bend to the advertiser's wishes and for most gaming companies, having your names listed next to soft porn is unacceptable, since they market to kids too. If they ended up with some kind of compromise like no ads on NSFW steams, it would probably be better, since they usually make most of their money from "donations"

When people started streaming the WoD beta, his stream was listed among WoW streams. In the three or four days where I checked out beta streams, I clicked on his about five times just to check. Four times it was just an empty house with the camera pointed at an empty couch and one time he was playing Hearthstone. Not sure what he's actually providing content-wise.

Exactly how voyeuristic are people that they will watch camwhores doing livestreams of boring ass games? Are people REALLY that hard up? I mean like actually watch them.

It's entertainment just like anything else. Sorry if you can't wrap your pea sized brain around it...

TV shows also don't have chat rooms, so these indie streamers are making a community based around them.

It's popular, and isn't stopping anytime soon.

Pretty sure he is just referring to the cam whores, but yes there are people that are that hard up, and lots of them evidently. Honestly, I'd probably be one of the teenage boys following a lot of these cam whores ~12 years ago, but I'm old now and I've seen some things.
