bullying corporations into creating diversity positions for these lowlifes to socially engineer is the conspiracy?

I blame the clowns that have been a part of the e-sports industry for decades now. They've been trying so god damned hard for so long to get non-gamer people interested in their entertainment product that some weird fetish about having gaming as a sport became a thing. You have sports media industry people desperately trying to get back the young demographic and you have gaming marketers trying to get sponsorship and legitimacy through sports.

The gaming industry is big enough now that it doesn't need the sports industry to give it legitimacy or a larger audience.

All the power to Ninja though. Get paid, son

More kids playing games over sports will legitimize gaming as a Sport even more.
Expect more of this as more sports related businesses chase the dollars.
I bet they see a huge boost in sales over this Ninja piece. Kids will buy it when they're unlikely to have ever purchased an issue before, and adults may pick it up for curiosity.

Ninja can cater to the Fortnite kiddies all he wants, I'll still be watching Blackout instead and stomaching PUBG until it comes out.

So FortNite just had an "event" kick off, Season 6 is tomorrow and the Cube that's been rolling around has just turned Loot Lake into a bouncy lake.

That said... 300K were watching this on Twitch (120k Ninja) and apparently 1.8million were watching YouTube.

Between Youtube, Twitch, and the new Steam.TV... It's turning into a crowded space for streaming, will be interesting to see how this plays out. Probably means bigger paydays for Streamers as each service ups the ante to get people on their platform.

noticed the new Always On category on twitch, they moved all the stuff that streams pre recorded 24x7 to it like Bob Ross Paints, Pokemon, Rifftrax (MST3k), Food channel, etc to it. Pretty great

[H]ardOCP: Seattle Launches Anti Swatting Service

Seattle dwellers can create a user profile on the "SMART 911" online registry with their name, address, phone number, and other relevant info. 911 operators then check this database when they receive calls. If swatting concerns have been registered online, first responders are notified on their way to the reported incident

Some form of this needs to be tied to all 911 systems. Not just for swatting, but for other similar targeted false reports.

A guide to understanding Twitch emotes

PogChamp is still one of the most popular emotes, and part of the reason is because it’s pretty safe.

If something happens on-stream or in-game that makes you cringe, you can use haHAA. That said, try not to be a total jerk on Twitch.

On Twitch, yes. Pepe is living in a non-political context, and completely divorced from politics. On Twitch, with these emotes, there’s no political connotation.” That’s debatable.
A robot meme based on video game news publication Destructoid’s logo. The robot is mainly used when a glitch, error or computerized sound is made on stream. It’s also used, however, to poke fun at people’s robotic tendencies.

If police used just a tiny bit of common sense SWATing would be impossible.

But since they dont use any and thanks to qualified immunity face zero consequences for their idiocy, here we are.
