XQVC or whatever his name is signed a 100 million dollar deal with Kick I heard. Dont watch him so not sure but he was one of the big ones wasnt he?

edit- lol thread updated as I was typing it.
And ya Kick is backed by Stake. Massive money cap of investment.
Last week they gave drake like 30k subs to hand out. 150k here ya go bro go give free subs.
They don't need qvc to make 100 million. They need him to bring people so they make 100 million in time.
Kick posts memes on twitter daily about Twitch. It's a war to them.

I believe he's the #1 streamer. Former OW pro. Just a French Canadian that screams and shouts and slams things and braindeads and tweens love him. Just another one of those, but he's been the top for the last 4-5 years probably.

Good deal for him, easy money and gives 0 fucks if Kick flops, when it does flop. He's probably already pulling 5-10 mill a year from Twitch, but a 10 years straight up for probably 1-2 years of work is pretty good. The Shroud Maneuever TM.

Who?? Never heard of him, let alone watched him. Never heard of this platform either.
Only heard of him because he did GTA back in the day and caused tons of issues on server for another I modded for.

Problem with kick streamers atm is there is no reason to sub.
It's already ad free and being a sub is just a icon in chat, I was gifted a sub to HeelMike months ago and it still shows icon 2 months after it expired.
So it shows I was once a sub which Twitch doesn't do but there is no advantage to resub or sub myself.
So ya they get a huge spilt but they need to address that.
Also need to address no way to watch on fire tv other than browser which has no sound, but being Amazon owns Twitch...
Lastly they need better moderation function. It's come a long way in 3 months but every chat is still filled with teens spamming screen sized text in all caps 5000x per minute. They added follower only and slow mode but it still is so toxic.

I did see Heel get a 1 day ban but it was cause he had his dick sucked live on stream.
Then owner came into chat after ban and gave out 200 subs.

what $100m buys you in 2023. The deal is also only for 2 years not 10

kick is absolutely hilarious, its a 100% scam site where basically they just fund their streamers to gamble on stream 24x7 and the gambling sites rig the games so the streamers win way more often than lose, and all their idiot viewers think they can win too.

so they pour their money into the gambling sites, and whoah it turns out no you actually will ALWAYS LOSE WHEN YOU GAMBLE OVER THE LONG TERM, and thats how stake.com and the others are worth billions

Apparently in 2019-2021 he generated 8 million from subs alone. And he's gotten bigger since then and that doesn't include ads/donations from the payment leak site. So honestly the 100 million may be like 2-3 good years for him at this point, but he just doesn't have to try and retain anything.

It is great they get these mega popular streamers who basically fucking suck. They're just loud and annoying and the lowest level of gamers eat that shit up. Then they bring like 5% of their viewership over and the people wonder why.

Honestly the best thing that could happen is everyone who watches that guy and make him worth $100 should lose all their money to the casinos. It's a solid getting what you deserve.

Feels like they are making the Mixer mistake when they paid Shroud and Ninja big bucks - they focused on individual big names rather than trying to sign a bunch of people in a specific group or niche. Ideally you want people to tune in to one person, then go to another person when that person stops for the day. If you just have a big name and no one else that has cross appeal, then you'll just see a massive drop in viewers once the big name logs off.

I've found a lot of Twitch refugees on Kick like StephenIRL the bounty hunter who was permad years back on Twitch when an addy got said outloud of a criminal and Demon Machine the car mechanic who has been banned off and on for his based views.
For now at least you can :emoji_nose:notice:emoji_nose: all you want on Kick and not get banned.
Still my interest in watching even outdoors fishing/camping streams is starting to slip.

To this day I still don't get why he got so big. He isn't particularly good at the video games he plays, except for his winston in OW I guess. He is extremely hard to understand, not articulate.
His takes are whatever, nothing that really stands out. He is a grinder though, streaming 10h/day.

Went to kick for the first time just now. They have five recommended channels showing to the left. Top was Amoranth. Then one dude chatting. One dude playing CoD or something, and two guys playing online gambling slots.

Now, I don't understand why anyone would play online gambling, since you have no idea what's behind the numbers. But watching someone else play online slots?? There were probably about 5k people watching those two streams. I don't understand it man.

Lvndmark (Tarkov streamer) occasionally does California police chases. It's essentially watching or hoping for train wrecks of various forms. 99% of the people would never be that dumb themselves and merely watch other people fuck up.

This is one of the biggest metrics in being a "successful" streamer - grinding. Once you get "big" you don't have to do the 10+ers as much anymore, but you have to stay consistent. 5-7 days/week without fail. Nothing will kill your audience faster than breaks, especially if they're 7+ days.

Many are, yeah. A lot of these bozos got diagnosed as "autistic" or "adhd" at a young age, because they're children of single moms who don't know how to handle the rambunctiousness of boys.

"Doc, my child is wild all the time! pls halp!"

"Have him take these.."
