youtube is so fucking terrible with how it handles copyright claims it probably isn't worth the effort
I am not even sure if his clip channels are still monetized. I know there was a bunch of stuff awhile ago. He knows more than most about how shitty YT is. It's not worth his time.

Pretty sure Asmon is making the move because he knows Twitch are likely going to go hard in the paint soon on censorship/content moderation. He's just hedging his bets, really.

Once they Alex Jones one of these platforms, the dominoes will start to fall. That's why setting the precedent with Jones' is going to come back to haunt a lot of these libtards.

Amazon needs to clean house at twitch and fire every faggot, retard, pedophile, terrorist, and queer otherkin homo that works there before it's too late.

A lot of streamers who stream as a career already multistream to Twitch and Youtube. Some do X because you can basically start it up and not doing anything because there's 0 interaction and no one chats there and most do Kick initially until they realize it's all porn emotes and gamer words and it makes less than Twitch or Youtube so they just stop doing it.
I would guess that if Azmond is actually in talks with Elon or top Twitter people, the interactive chat UI is part of the conversation. At least, if Elon is serious about having X become a top streamer site, which he seems to be.

I don't think he even owns the clips channel. The main one that has the longer videos though he's repeatedly said is his main source of income (via content creation at least, I know he has an absolute fuckload investing and through businesses).

edit: actually I might be getting the clips thing mixed up with a diff streamer. whatevs.

Twitch is in a love hate relationship with asmon anyways. He's getting so many viewers but doesn't take subs for twitch. It's actually a hilarious move still to this day.

Asmon has a lot of partnerships with a lot of companies. He doesn't rely on twitch or yt for his income.

He either partnered that channel or twitch forced him to at some point in the last few months

edit: google says July of last year, guess it's been longer than i realized. i got banned in chat from his alt channel like 4 yrs ago for saying Code Geass was gay so never really paid attention to it. still stand by that, show is gay.

I think he does profit sharing with the dude who edits those videos for him - he talked about it last year ago on stream. That was when Elon misunderstood the situation and thought the guy doing the clip edits and managing his youtube channel was Asmon's manager and telling him what to do when Elon had his meltdown about Asmon giving airtime to the video revealing that Elon paid some dude to boost his account in POE2.

They are. He makes a bunch of money on them. More than Twitch I think he said.

He's said he makes most of his money from his YT channels if I remember correctly. But he also has over 10k subs on Twitch atm as well.

Subs are a drop in the bucket to ad revenue. I remember he broke it down and ad revenue was like 5x or more the sub revenue once you hit a certain view count

I would be shocked if it was only 5x. I feel like his viewership numbers probably mean he makes as much in ads in one day as his monthly sub amount

He's making almost no ad revenue from Twitch anymore, along with others like Hasan, Tectone and others who are covering politics.

think it was around 6 months or so ago but ad revenue on twitch, even outside politics, took a huge dive
