On a side note, I bought a few PS4 games in Europe, with French covers and everything. It's pretty badass, and the games play perfectly / in English on an American PS5.

...except it won't let me download DLC for any of them from the American PS store.

And one of them is Dissidia NT which lives and dies on its DLC since like half the characters are DLC unlocks.

lul.

Oh well.

I say go Jan 1st to Jan 31st. I can't start until Jan 3rd or 4th, myself. Already got my list / ten objectives for the month:

Switch:
-FNAF5

PS4/5:
-Ratchet and Clank (100%)
-Rez Infinite
-Resident Evil
-Resident Evil 2

Wii U
-Monster Hunter 3
-Wave Race 64
-Mario 64 DS

3DS
-Spirit Tracks

Wii
-Super Paper Mario

Calling my shot, if I get 'em all cool, if I don't, I don't.

MH3 is easily the longest. FNAF5 is probably going to be the most obnoxious even though I'm on the last "level". Ratchet I might not go for 100% depending on how long it takes and whether or not I get tired of it by the time the end is near. Spirit Tracks is probably the one thing I'd single out if I were to only beat one thing on this list, because it's been backlogged for about ten years and is the only one of my 3 unplayed Zeldas that's old at this point. Resident Evil 1 is probably gonna be the first thing I take on out of this list.

Could do a few categories on a 45-60 day basis. A and B would be a split prize pool and C maybe just forum flare.

A) Quantity
B) Ranked (Using HowLongToBeat and you get 1 point per hour it should take to complete, ie witcher 3 is worth 51 and halo infinite is 10)
C) Personal Challenge where a person posts their list and tries to finish it
I like these, but mostly B/C, to expand participation and keep it objective and less of an administrative burden.

Do it quarterly, when beating a game you have to post the proof, HLTB points, and maybe your running total (games and points, provide a template in the OP for that quarter, which will also link to the prior OPs). Those who finish above a curve (something like top 10% of points) get a badge to spread recognition from the top and keep motivation, and some quarters a sweetener like the gift card, generated in some form by people like Ut or others in the community.

Online casino Slots And Games

Online casino games and slots are something that millions of people worldwide enjoy everyday without fail. It has become a staple in the entertainment scene across the world and exists in incredible varieties all stemming from the original slot casino games, which were developed by ancient Egyptians ages ago. Discover how there has been a veritable boom in Online casino gaming since its inception, how it is still being developed, with various high and low rounds sporting various conditions to win such as Max Jackpots of up to $1 Trillion now Optimism and pessimism seem to be on the rise as people eagerly await the future of technology. Some think that Artificial Intelligence will take over the world, while others are afraid it will lead us into the abyss without a route back.

What are Online casino Slots?

Online casino slots were a bit different because they displaced human dealers. Instead of dealing with other people, you could now deal with games that are developed by software developers specifically to make the most out of your budget. You can also lay down real cash, play for free online and you will still get real wins. Online casino slots are online games that let players virtually roll the reels on a slot machine. They let players play by themselves or with friends and family members with real-time interaction. Like regular slots, they have three reels, but play in a simulated reality within computer software.

What are the Different Types of Online casino Slots?

Thanks to changing technology, Online casinos have leapfrogged the land-based casino and give people an easier and safer way to play. These Online casinos provide the best service in seconds, instead of the hours it would take at physical casinos. The options are numerous: while they can offer some or all of their games on mobile with iPhone apps and other software platforms, such as PC or even Android gadgets, there are many ways that they can customize each player's experience. There are many different types of casino slots that can be played on an Online casino. Some casinos offer a huge variety of slot games such as 3 reel, 5 reel and 10 reel games. Another type of broad slot is called a progressive slot, the funds are repaid to players over time and the amount depends on how long they play. The way they work is set up in each individual fraction of the game, so you might get lucky with 1 roll out of 10.

How Does an Online casino Slot Machine Work?

The most popular slot machines now take place entirely on a computer and they offer five, three or even two-reel models. They're filled with vibrant graphics, sound effects and sweet drop tunes. Here are some of the ways in which a slot machine is set up and how it can play games for you: Slot machines are quite confusing when it comes to understanding how they work. A casino will have a random number that determines whether players win or lose. This randomized number may be generated if the player tries a particular combination of symbols 5, or 10 times without achieving a winning combination.

How to Enjoy Complimentary Chatting with Other Players on a Site Advantages and Disadvantages

Online casino games have many advantages and disadvantages. There are offerings that you can use as distractions during your game, tutorials that teach you how to play the game, information on reviews of different Online casinos, and sometimes the chat room gives players some help. The chat zone can be a distraction if you do not know anyone at the site or does not offer competitive multiplayer games. Online casino sites can offer free bets online on electronic slot machines and poker. These games are fun because the players don't have to wait long for a big win. It is impossible to lose with Online casino gaming because these games are electronic and with luck provides instant wins. For example, an instant win pays not less than $5 but if the player goes on a losing streak then he wins no more than he loses or about $2. Complimentary chatting with other players can be beneficial to website customers in some ways in which it will provide them consolation that they are not alone. However, there are some disadvantages such as the communication is strictly text based while others remain visible to others unless the customers approve through confidence building tools.

I was tempted to try sperging out for this one, but to have had any chance of beating Rajaah I would have had to completely abandon FF14 and MWO for the entire month which is why I gave up almost immediately. As far as continuing the contest goes, I have no idea better than that suggestion to weight games by their length.

At this point I don't care! You came in with a valid opinion that was right. You brought up early something that could be abused. It made myself and others think!

You are now involved and we need your help for the thread to continue. Pleas sperg and help with coming up with something for round 2. I am paying for it but I think with your extreme ASPERGERS you can help with this thanks. I am OCD....I am not a Asperrg like some of you....

I like B + C. I'm mainly into the longer games, and so I suggest quarterly results maybe? Ain't no way I have the time to beat RDR2 in like just 1 month I don't think. My Farcry 6 playthrough is nearly complete for the story, so I'll be coming out the gate hard on the points!! :D

I might need to scratch MH3U off my "ten objectives for the month" because it's like 70 hours long. Unless we're going for a points-based system based on HLTB hours after all, then it'd be worth going ahead with now.

However either way if I go ahead with MH3U, I probably won't beat anything else this month. Time investment wise, it's like lumping a single-player EQ on top of all the other games I'm looking at. And yeah the online functionality is long-gone, was looking at the thread for it and all the multiplayer people got up to back in the day and I bet it was a blast.

I'm also probably a lunatic for even playing MH3U when there are 4+ games worth of QOL improvements on top of it. World, Rise, Generations, and even MH4 are all steps up. I didn't know where to start and MH3U is the first HD game in the series, plus the beginning of "modern" MH. I'm still gonna take a stab at it, just don't know if it'll be this month or not. I was enjoying the backlog-clearing with mid-sized games.

I mean the momentum from clearing out a bunch of those mid-sized games is nice, but every once in a while you gotta take on the big dude.

Whenever just waiting on you guys confirming the rules.

I say a combination of B and C above for the second contest.

-Runs Jan 1st to Jan 31st

-You post your list of goals for the month, call your shot if you will. You don't have to finish the whole list, or even stick to it. This is just to "announce your participation" and show your level of involvement, while also giving you an itinerary of sorts.

-Points are done via the average hours listed on Howlongtobeat.com (in the top slot, Main Story)

1640834008381.png

The (probable) next game I'm going to play is worth 11 points. Yeah, a lot of our backlogged games are partially-completed already, but we put that time in either way.

It's up to people how much optional stuff they want to do, but only the Main Story number counts for points. If it's a half-number, round UP.

UNLESS, and I'll leave this up to discussion: If you can furnish a platinum trophy for a game, it counts as the Completionist hour total instead. This brings backlogged plats into play as well. For example, I want to go back and plat Code Vein, but I haven't done it because I was beating games for the contest and it'll take a while. So I think this could be a fun addition to the rules while also encouraging people to go ahead and get everything out of a particular game rather than feeling like they need to hurry up and move on. ADDENDUM: Some games give you the plat before you're actually at 100%, due to DLC. A plat with "91%" next to it is entirely fine for Completionist numbers.

At the end of the day we want the rules to be as concise and clear as possible to not leave any room for loopholes. And obviously the completionist scores will only come into play for Playstation systems (and Steam? IDK, don't have Steam) where we have absolute proof in the form of platinum trophies. If you want to catch 'em all in Pokemon Diamond I wouldn't do it as part of the contest.

Thoughts?

The whole point is knocking something off your list. If you beat the main story of a game 2 years ago, but you've had it on your list to Plat ever since, who gives a fuck? Count the points for the month that it's no longer on your list.

I agree, as long as it's done in the timeframe obviously. And the amount you have left in any given main story or plat doesn't really matter to me here either. Point is you did it. And if you're 80% done with a game and knock it off, that last 20% can vary wildly in size, so you should get more points for the longer games regardless.

The only real problem I see with my ideas is that they discourage starting long games from the beginning rather than resuming already partially played long games.

But, really, when it comes down to it, the point of all of this is just to get us clearing out the things we've been wanting to get to but neglecting.

100% agree and I’m a completionist. This is about knocking out games you wouldn’t bother playing just to clear the cobwebs.

I would rather you guys beat these games with a complete in easy mode than never play.
Far Cry 6 is my next game. Set the rules up and I’ll do this months $100 winner. You guys decide how to do it raffle + entries for games is nice.

$50 steam / Xbox / PS4 code for a raffle with completed games adding extra raffle entries and a separate $50 raffle for anyone that posted a one complete game over 8 hours?

Something like that? We can fine tune next month

Sounds fine. Can 1 person win both?

What category are the "How Long to Beat" hours adding towards?
