i beta'd Star Trek VR (on oculus with touch) and its really cool and fun but it is a 4 player multiplayer game that depends on other players doing their shit correctly and after an hour its pretty damn boring. Just "ok engineer, redirect power from engines to shields... ok science guy, start scanning the system for objects... ok helmsmen, start moving the ship there..." and the captains job is really lame, mostly just looking at maps, using comms, and being able to turn the red alert on and off.
online was good netcode and no problems but everyone in the beta had voice comms and wasn't a retard, I'm sure in release you'll get kids, people who won't talk, people who go AFK, etc and that would drive me nuts. not sure you can play it solo at all.
it is probably the most immersive VR game I have played, in the sense you really do feel like you are in the star trek world. you warp around, fly around a solar system, it has impulse (within a solar system) and warp, starbases, klingons, etc. there were multiple ship "skins" including old school TOS and newer TNG-style. The weirdest thing was looking down at your body and seeing titties and nice legs instead of a hairy stomach.
