New question, if I stream porn from my computer to the quest 2, does Facebook record what porn I'm watching?

How’s this screen compared to the original quest oled? I kinda like the low black levels on the oled screen, definitely notice them in beatsabre and some parts of alyx.
ive probably demo’d alyx for like 10 people so far most who aren’t techy at all, and they were all blown away by it. It’s incredible how poorly known it is outside the nerd bubble

Ginger sodas and candy also help quite a bit on the VR legs.

Broke down and bought one, using Virtual Desktop for wireless Half Life too tempting to pass up at this price. Sony should have announced something because this thing is going to sell like hot cakes.

I fucking hate the tracking on the Playstation, wires suck, and the controls are lacking.

Ok so I have a Quest 2 queued up for pick up at Best Buy so I can die of fear Saturday night playing Phasmagoria with Noodleface Noodleface . Here is my question though - They want $79 for that stupid over priced link cable. Doesn't any old USB 3.1 cable do??

You don't need a link cable, look up Virtual Desktop.

My stupid Quest 2 isn't getting here until Monday according to FedEx, god damn fucking slow ass shipping.

Maybe its because I played sitting but I dont find the wired connection a problem at all. I can see how it would be moving and standing up etc, but the cord on Odyssey is very long and durable, and is positioned in a way where it drops back behind your neck and is angled away from your shoulder. I hardly ever feel it and it isnt really an issue for me at all.

I havent seen one other person mention they have a Samsung Odyssey Plus? its almost like no one here likes or respects WMR. I have found it a extremely quality experience. The amount of content I have at my disposal is insane. Walking Dead Saints and Sinners, my favorite VR game (if you actually try to close one eye and aim with the bolt action rifle or any long rifle, you can headshot enemies from ridiculously far and its satisfying as fuck. Its also very difficult, but when you hit, it feels so fucking satisfying. Way more realistic and exhilarating than getting a simple headshot with mouse click on reg PC monitor). Skyrim VR, Star Wars Squadrons, Asetto Corsa, No Mans Sky, Half Life: Alyx, and more.

Its really an amazing headset with a top tier gaming rig.

I almost bought the Odyssey Plus when I had like $200 in points on Samsung.com but bought buds instead. Having come from PSVR though I think the wireless and price is the main selling point of the Quest 2 over WMR.

The PSVR is comfortable and the cable is designed well, but it's still a cable and standing experiences just suck with a cable. All the games you mentioned can be played on the Quest 2 wirelessly. Meanwhile PSVR has an equally amazing exclusive library. RE7, Astrobot, RiGS, Farpoint, Blood & Truth, Iron Man VR, Wipeout, Rush of Blood, and I'm sure some more I can't think of right now.

Ideally Sony would come out with a wireless PSVR 2 for PS5 but I'm done waiting and $300 was the right price at the right time.

I got a $19 anker usb3 to usb-c cable for mine just in case I need to tether for some reason

Virtual desktop is awesome. I have gigabit internet and a good router so being wireless so far has been awesome

The only issue I had was getting my quest 2 mic to work wirelessly with windows. You have to enable audio passthrough in the virtual streamer settings in windows

I dont see how using a wireless Oculus quest 2 would be better than using my Odyssey plus on my msi laoptop. The gfx on Half Life is a fucking mazing. I mean I get what your saying, I could just play it on that and have a similar experience. I just needed a new gaming PC anyway so I splurged on my laptop and then just figured id buy an Odyssey plus. I love it.

I don't think Samsung is even actively selling that anymore and they want $625 for one on Amazon. Opposed to $300 for a wireless headset that can also play the same exact games.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your headset but being wireless imo is a game changer. We'll see how well it works for AAA games.

Yea i picked mine up for 400$ 5 months ago on Amazon. The kid I bought it off replaced the face cushion with a nice expensive one so it was worth it. But yea I just dont see how the Q2 could have similar performance to a wired set with a high end pc. It probably does the job but like you said when it comes to high demand games we will see. There arent many on the market anyway.

Yeah I wouldn't upgrade to this if you have one. Full wireless is very nice though for me. It means I can bring it into the living room for game night and stream it to the TV (also wireless).

If anything, I need a slightly better router as mine caps out at 866Mbps
