There is only one story DLC left and its a ways out. Probably worth doing a seperate heretic run for that one, if you have not already gone down that road.
I actually got into the quest line of the arbites DLC and it is short but solid. It lacks the depth and full story integration of Void Shadows, but the fights are less overtuned than the later Void Shadows encounters. The biggest game breaking things are their implementation of shields. It is frankly too powerful as a mechanic to be as freely accessible as it is. If you thought Abelard was tanky before, he is basically immortal with any of the better shields equipped. Literally any character not a psyker has one on my team and its ludicrous how much stronger they are at ignoring damage. Sadly this puts the Space Wolf guy (who cannot use one) even further behind the normies than he was before. And it gets worse as you go into the endgame.
Overseer is an archtype that started out very strong, but once you get into the endgame it peters out fairly fast, with a couple exceptions. If you are playing a skill monkey support character, the servo skull is great for certain things (usually granting an autosuccess for certain tests or alternative ways to achieve goals) AND ITS ae mini heal is continuously useful. The psyker bird is usefull as another source of buffs and minor damage, but becomes a bit cumbersome for action economy reasons and you will struggle even keeping it alive in most situations. The cyber eagle is shit from start to finish. The Mastiff's main issues are requiring an arbites background (so main character or the DLC companion only) and its damage tapering way off mid to late game, while also getting ganked by the AEs the later bosses toss around. You also cannot reposition the pets, so there will be crucial fights where the computer will put them in a spot you really want another companion sitting in.
The other concern I have is that with the DLC shoe horned into the main story, it presents other pacing and challenge issues. Pacing wise, the temptation will be there to rush through Void Shadows, but the end fights of that DLC are so brokenly overtuned (especially at anything higher than normal difficulty) that you can wind up locking yourself into an unwinnable state. The last sequence is locked in and lengthy, plus it can occur as early as when you are in your first archtype if you rush the plot. This puts you into a locked set of encounters that are impossible to win without reducing the difficulty. On the other hand, if you are careful and wait to trigger the final bit until late in Chapter 2 while meticulously doing every other questline you can, you will be halfway through Exemplar archtype before you set foot in Commoragh which pretty much makes the rest of the game a complete joke until the very end.
Overall, the game is still very enjoyable particularly if you are a fan of the source material for the story aspect. Its easy to overlook the warts of balance issues in this one, especially after the ridiculous power creep that was WOTR. If nothing else, the story is decent and if you want you can play to your speed. My way of keeping things sane is to play at lower difficulty but avoid using psyckers as much as possible and avoid the Blood Web NPC when feasible. Cassie just flat out breaks the game and having her paired with a well designed psyker main character makes the whole thing silly. I really wish the end game were not designed around that level of cheesing, frankly.
