Hopefully we get streaming consolidation soon at the low, low price of $199/month. Cable is back on the menu, boys!

it started off super jewy but some funny bits, basically curb your enthusiasm in history. i'd bet a lot of it is improv'd.

it is produced by obama so i bet he shows up, now if you get larry david the jew slave owner whipping obama... comedy gold

paramount settled with the states so the purchase of Warner/HBO will close on tuesday

the new company name will be called Skydance, good job throw away 100+ years of movie history lol. i guess HBO and Warner will stick around as subsidiaries, but wonder what the branding will be on movies etc. will Paramount+ and HBO merge streaming services?

the heads of Warner movies will also be going away, they've had a horrible 2026 so not a big surprise, bunch of box office bombs and they also lost Nolan to Universal a few years ago. Gunn is staying for now although his contract ends in a year. If Man of Tomorrow bombs (likely, given the $300m+ budget and supergirl bombing HARD) he's probably gone.

the new head of Warner movies only puts out absolute garbage movies lol

As many people predicted, we're working our way back to the cable TV model of having one giant, bloated package to choose from that costs $200 a month and you are not interested in 90% of the content.

Only had Paramount+ for a limited time as part of a Verizon deal (the one after they stopped doing Netflix yearly deals), parents still have HBO through cable which also gives Max access. The quantity output will drop to less than half after the merge and there's no reason to subscribe if they only manage to put out 1/20 good series a year.

Fully expect them to not only raise prices but try to double dip, we're already out by default on one side we're double out if they mess with the other.

I will say when HBO Max and Discovery+ merged, there was no downside for me as a subscriber to both at the time. HBO stayed the same price and I just got to cancel Discovery+. Kinda doubt that will be the case with this one since Paramount+ is bigger. Hopefully they will put it all into the HBO app because Paramount+ is surpassed only by the NFL app in being a buggy POS.

Weird how we all saw this coming years and years ago when Netflix figured it out and everyone else tried to follow suit. Doesn't matter to me, only streaming service I have is Amazon and that's because it comes with Prime. Only watch it for NFL ,rest I sail the high seas. Fuck 'em all.

goddamn thats quite the payout for running a studio right into the ground. I guess the payout is more for selling the dumpster fire of WB/HBO to Paramount for $80 billion fake dollars

HBO and WB gonna get gutted though, if Paramount doesn't trim $7 billion over the next 3 years Larry Ellison has to pony up $40b to the investors

Same plus Crunchyroll. Use CR way more than any other streaming service over the years.
