just came back from publix it was dead/dead i asked the dude behind the counter and he said yea almost no one came but the ones that did, didn't complain about the roads so no flooding(if there were complaints he woulda heard them)

then went to my local pizza join to pick up poppers and manicoti (their pizza is okish, but if i want good pizza it's 20mins out, but it's good, it almost feels like i'm eating a brooklyn slice, thats high praise from me), anyway, they were PACKED

like when i usually come to pick up, they have like 1 or 2 ppl in the tables, this time there were ppl lining outside to get in to eat, all the tables were filled

i asked the dude and he said, yea when the weather is horrible like this everyone just comes out to eat, it's been great

i know this place and they usually have 4 ppl working, this time i saw like 7, they had to call in that much help

wth tennessee, you think the tornados is gonna kill you so you might as well eat some good ravioli?

Made reservations to go camping this weekend last Sat and the weather showed ~80 for this coming Sat/Sun just south of Nashville. Now its 64 Sat 76 on Sun. Bit too cold to be worth jumping in a freezing ass river even if it is sunny. At least it will be a great night for a roaring camp fire.

Dropping into the 40's overnights in a couple of days... in Florida. I have been in my pool the last couple of days. Fuck global warming.

DC area, we already have baby bunnies grown enough to leave their nests in our backyard. Didn't help it went to freezing last night but spotted one running around the shed bushes and a sibling hiding near the dining room window.

Is that a sign of a good spring or a bad one for doing it so early in the season?

The Mississippi river is high apparently at least on the south end. Barge broke free in Baton Rouge and it wound up coming to a stop on top of the levee. I normally cross in Natchez but haven't been in a while. I didn't realise it had been raining thtat much further north.

Red River. They're building/expanding I-35 from Gainseville to OK and the I-beams they have up are completely covered with debris and giant logs. Pretty impressive that it help up so well right in the middle of construction.

Still high. My niece is married to a guy from north, Louisiana near the MS river and al the farms and a lot of the small town is flooded. The water is rising out of the ground miles away from the levee system. Out of my experience entirely but guessing at that point the only option is to wait for the river to go down, not really local rainfall related. Maybe 200 miles or so north of Baton Rouge.

Had this line run through DC and most of MD, leading edge had some nasty wind but fortunately past that it dropped to practically nothing.
Shed bunny's first thunderstorm, did not scare her too bad she just got annoyed by the rain while trying to eat.
