was watching youtube weather guy till after midnight, storm was over an hour away, dying down and heading north of me, so stopped watching. around 1:30am, went to bed, not 5 mins later storm hit, power went off, and heard big boom. then about 10 mins later it stopped. power didn't come back on till 7am and cable 1pm.

we had violent storm around 5pm, now sunny and clear, tornado warning expires at 8, but another storm supposed to get here at 10.
don't know if anyone else uses code red for weather alerts, but their number got labeled as spam last storm so phone didn't ring when the storm hit.

If anyone watches Team Dominator, they just had the wildest fucking tornado intercept and took a direct hit from the suction vortex. Crazy mother fuckers. But they got a successful probe launch into one (cannon included). Also corn.

We had a wild night last night. Around 3am I was doing some art and kept hearing a loud bang. I turned down my music and realized the wind was VERY high. I went outside to see what the noise was and it was our metal roof detaching and slamming back down.
I somehow managed to get on a stepladder and got a cinderblock on top of it to keep it from peeling away the rest of the way. I don't have any way to measure but it felt like 70mph if I was guessing. Only lasted about an hour.
The power was going off and coming back on about every 10 seconds for an hour or so. I unplugged most of my stuff.

Really scary when you see how that first landslide was the small event. It looks like a good portion of that mountain above is ready to break off. Might be a while before that town gets rebuilt.

Storms today went under Baltimore to hit DC and the Annapolis corridor. Brief power blips where i live because the leading edge had enough wind to down trees so I'm sure there are plenty of suburbs dealing with power issues right now. Smaller storms still possible tomorrow but we already got 1" of rain going in to the heat wave so the lawn is in the best condition it could be.
