Last four episodes were absolutely better. S2 would have benefited from being weekly or the amazon method of 3 initial eps then weekly. The "cliffhanger" was irrelevant within the first few minutes of episode 5 so splitting it half and half had no narrative relevance.
Ton of backstory reveals for only 4 eps, although i feel like they gloss over how many people got straight up killed in two school years. Would it be fine as long as the villains piss off and live happily over there despite the trail of bodies in their wake? Never, and it also never happens, so more bodies pile up until MCs finally get around to dealing with it properly.
