If you're on the course to die because of a lack of meds, it changes the calculus. Generally when you are offered something like blood pressure meds, the doctor tells you "Exercise more and lose weight or take this to compensate fatto". All the people really against taking medicine chose to exercise route instead already. Medicine in that case becomes a patch to extend your deteriorating life. I'd rather take every actual physical action to delay the necessity for such patches as many years as possible.

So while people out there certainly do butt chugg meds, I'd disagree with the idea that they are necessarily the same people.
Sad thing is I wish doctors did this. I had one fucking doctor in my adult life ever do this. Actually sit down with you and explain shit and even tell you shit you dont wanna hear. Most docs these days are nothing more than pill pushers. Almost as they get paid to push as much of this shit on people as humanly possible. 2-3 min look over, then they send in the nurse with a script and tell you to GTFO to make room for the next sap to enter.

I had this recurring sore throat problem in my 20s. I went to see like 3-4 doctors at different clinics, even EN&T specialists which none of diagnosed what the fuck was wrong. Most gave me antibiotics for a week or two, which the problem would go away, but then return. So finally I hit a jackpot with one doctor that looked in my throat and said, "you have acid reflux my dude." And finally solved my problem for good. It opened up my eyes to the whole medical system and doctors in general. The odds are not good, man. Going back to Pareto principle. And most people look at doctors with such high appeal to authority. While most of them are fucking losers in reality. Just like at any job. The good ones are fucking rare unicorns.

I like my doctor, but I absolutely do my research before going in if anything funky is going on that I want help with. Google symptoms. Read mayo clinic and webmd and wikipedia. Ask him for his opinion, and talk about solutions. He's a nice guy, and genuinely wants to help, but he is also a big pill/vax pusher lib as well.

You guys are very passionate about ozempic. It changed my life and that's All I care about
If you are on it for life for the beetus, then awesome. If you got on it for weight loss I hope you changed your eating habits so that the changes are permanent. Stay healthy, bro. Need you alive and well to get the minivan rolling.

Congratulating and encouraging people to take it for diabetes but admonishing people for taking it for weight loss is some next level mental gymnastics (referring to the overall dialogue involving Ozempic, not the post above mine). I love weight loss discussions.

People can never help becoming self righteous. Usually because misery loves company.

I wonder if the passion in the food threads and the self-righteousness in the weight loss threads are related.

Honestly took it for both.

My mindset changed when I went on it like I said before though. I definitely viewed it in some negative way before and now I can't see any negatives with it outside some.very clear cases of people taking it for the wrong reasons. You can hang on the glp1 subs and see plenty of people that took it to just lose a couple (literal) pounds. But to each their own.

If they are taking it for weight loss only they are going to come off it at some point. Without changing their food habits they will balloon back up immediately. That's not being judgmental, that's just being honest. I wish the best for everyone in their weight loss efforts. Being morbidly obese is hell on earth, even if you have been there long enough to have forgotten what life was like before it. It actively impedes every aspect of life in addition to killing you.

no idea about that site or their prices, but all domestic sites that I've seen are FAR more expensive (like 5-10x) than buying direct from a China vendor, and it's almost guaranteed that any site you buy from is doing the same and then adding a massive markup. Search for glp1 forum and dig through their vendor list and the comments about them.

188 today which is 3 pounds from my original goal but I think I'm gonna move the goal posts a bit. I'm still skinny fat after all this so along with weight lifting I'm going to aim for 175.

Some of my skin is a little baggy so I think I was carrying more weight than I realized.

Started at 235 so I've dropped over 45 pounds since October. I am thinking 7.5mg of Mounjaro is my sweet spot for now. I think if I go higher i may wither away. Plus doctors are concerned my a1c might go too low.

You should have been lifting the whole way down to try to preserve what muscle you have. If you aren't, just start going 2x a week for about an hour, stay in the dumbbell barbell area and go move some weight. Us old guys do not need to squat heavy, deadlift heavy (or at all), or bench (at all). Do goblet squats with 60's-70's, bench with dumbbells, and just go get some work in on weights. Ignore all powerlifting advice, they're chasing weight numbers. You just want to put some work in on all your muscles so your body tries to preserve it as you cut.

If you need a one hour routine you can do with dumbbells/barbells in a regular gym, takes about an hour 2x a week, let me know, happy to help.

Thanks brother. I've been lifting, though fairly light. Before this I was doing a silly program where I squatted 3x a week and it was intense.

A lot of people go "stronglifts 5x5" and yea thats great if you want to powerlift or get injured.

Stay manageable on the weight, do more volume, stay mobile, stretch and do mobility exercises as well. Not being fat is definitely the first step to everything, but just enough weight lifting makes a huge difference.
