This could easily be cross posted in the getting old thread. I recently discovered a setting on my fire stick that makes me so fucking happy.

Dialogue Boost. If you turn it on, it's got 4 settings. Medium, High, Enhanced, and Heightened. They all boost the dialogue to varying degrees. Enhanced and heightened also mute music and sound effects. I set that shit on heightened and now I can't even hear most of the stupid fucking music TV shows and movies play. I haven't tested it on old movies or TV shows yet. But then again, I've never had trouble hearing old shows.

Followup to this. The firestick keeps turning the boost off every week or so.

My guess is it's either app / firestick updates that run without our consent, or maybe it resets when we watch a show that doesn't support the feature. I need more testing.

I just found out I'm not as fat as I thought I was. Comparatively speaking.

Saw Iron Maiden in San Antonio. Was standing on the floor and was able to see over 98% of the crowd. Thx latinos.

My gallbladder removal surgery was 30 minutes and I was out of there in under 2 hours. What the heck happened that required 6 nights?
it was 5 nights, I can’t math or type.

First 2 nights were triage and assessment, and there were several other surgeries ahead of me. I also had the no stone variety, my gallbladder was just fucked up, which is apparently worse I guess? I dunno that’s what ai told my wife.
A couple doctors, surgeons, and nurses told me it was in pretty bad shape.
After the surgery they kept me in on antibiotics and to monitor my condition.
5 nights for something I almost didn’t go in for.
Might actually be lucky to be alive.

Damn dude. I had a HIDA scan like 2 weeks before my surgery and it revealed my gallbladder had 0% efficacy (blocked completely) but no stones. I didn't think that organ could threaten your life if it was wonky. Pancreas, yes. Appendix, yes. But, gallbladder?

Well, you're through it now and should be feeling great.
