They charge you/your insurance for another office visit if they get you to come in.
Nope, he told me over the counter. No cost no office visit. This place knows my family history of melanoma and I even had to get one removed (by this recent one) when I was going through chemo & radiation for the brain tumor.

I asked him in person why he didn't just say 'hey you are fine' when he left the fucking message. I was majorly annoyed at having to drive over there.

To be fair, he did call me back like he said he would, but the phone never rings and I just get a voicemail notification. They have the AI call service and you cannot get a person.

Do you have spam blocking on that sends no caller ID calls to VM? At work I have to deal with Drs using their personal cells a lot and while some offices have them set up to spoof their caller ID as the office number, most just straight up block their caller ID. That results in lots of calls going direct to VM because of spam filters.

yes that could be it.

Weirdly , today I get a call from their main office in CA to go over my results. From a few weeks ago. Sadly these peeps are the only game in town or I'd leave, they are unorganized as hell.

Yeah mine never called me back either. I just took a screenshot of the lab results email, fed it into Grok and despite the 'I'm no doctor' disclaimer gave me better results than if the lazy office actually followed up.

(all results within normal levels, but warned I was low on calcium somehow, despite my gallon a week whole chocolate whole habit lol)

Went out and ran errands with the Wife, have lunch, Steak and Fries also known as, for some stupid fucking reason, Steak Frites. St. Louis Bar and Grill, not bad.
The put the steak ON the fries.
I fucking hate this trend of putting food on top of other food.

Some autism may be involved in this, though.

Why the fuck is this a gif? Jimmies rustled.

Smoke detector chirping
Change battery
Chirps again, sounds like it's coming from behind me
Take smoke detector downstairs, wait, no chirp.
Leave smoke detector downstairs, go upstairs, wait, hear chirp.
No fucking clue where it's coming from
Look everywhere, nothing.
Have to buy a ladder (tomorrow, too stoned to do it today) to check attic, never been up there, scared of what I will find.
Chirping is making me irritated.
Kids are surprised to see me every time I enter the room, urge to acquire a bicycle and get in a fight at a diner is growing, and I am starting to realize I have been oppressed by The Man my entire life.

Smoke detector chirping
Change batteries
Smoke detector continues to chirp
It's a Nest one, so check the nest app.
Says the CO sensor only lasts 10 years and it reaching end of life.
I figure I have a CO alarm already, so no worries, it will just be a smoke detector.
Read more. Nope, once the 10 year date hits the unit apparently becomes inoperable.

I had a combo unit that had a low battery. Instead of chirping, it went off ....at midnight. You hear ALARM ......FIRE FIRE FIRE ALARM (repeat) I get up checking for smoke etc. Walk outside don't see any flames. We had a gas unit in the attic so I'm trying to get a ladder to go up the scuttle hole (cuz why would you put an attic door in?!)

Whole time my wife is following me around, freaking out. If it had been a fire she would have been dead and useless.

Wife and I just went for a walk with the dogs
We saw ducks mating
Wife thought the male duck was drowning the female
Because I didn’t share her anger and hatred of FUCKING NATURE, she’s now mad at me

Why do we put up with this nonsense….
