"This is to confirm that Ms O'Connor died of natural causes," the coroner's court said in a statement. "The coroner has therefore ceased their involvement in her death."
According to the Ministry of Justice, death by natural causes is when an illness or condition is not linked to external forces and there are no "unusual circumstances".
After a post-mortem examination, a coroner can decide whether there are grounds for a natural death inquest, which can happen in a case of neglect or if the person was in police custody or prison at the time of death.

I imagine due to HIPPA laws the corner cannot come out and say she died of stage 4 cancer for example. If the primary cause of death is overdose for example that wouldnt count as that preventable, or stabbed / shot / car accident / drowned / whatever. My dad died of a heart attack, and if he were famous it would just be "natural causes" for a press release.
If the family wants to come out and say the actual natural cause they can, and in cases where you hear "died of cancer" in the news its always from the family or a spokesman for the family.

All natural causes means is it wasn't an accident or a suicide or murder. That shit predates COVID by decades in terms of how they label deaths. So either some type of disease or other issue with the body
I have no clue what UK laws are, but even in the US it varies state by state. Some states make all that info public record and some don't.
