Her org sent Larson a threatening letter over this comic but Jane actually loved it. It would later be used on fundraisers.
I heard her call in to the Adam Carolla show for some reason once. Maybe they didn't tell her it was a comedy show but based on that, I don't think her sense of humor is her strong suit.

She went and lived with gorillas for a long time and they didn’t dismember her.

She observed a lot of behaviors in apes that previously had not been observed in the wild in terms of their hierarchy and social behaviors (some behaviors previously were thought to only be in the domain of humans), which helped shape future research into apes in general.

Humans and apes living today share a common ancestor, so it can be useful from an anthropology perspective to better understand what behaviors in our species are shared because of that common ancestral link
