was reading about ace, said he had a minor fall, went to hospital, doctor told him not to travel, so cancelled some gigs, then the next day everything was cancelled. depending on story, says he developed a brain bleed, later put on ventilator and couple weeks went by with no improvement he was allowed to pass.

several years ago, one of my friends was moving furniture with a group of people, while he was moving part of a bed, someone behind him stumbled and a bed rail hit him in the head. he said it hit solid and everything went black for a second, but didn't fall down. took some tylenol and rested, then was fine. next day, he was sitting at the kitchen table and fell over. they told him he woke up briefly before the surgery but he doesn't remember anything. he had a brain bleed and swelling. when they got done, half his head looked like a baseball.

“I was diagnosed in 2011. I didn’t really get what was happening back then. I stopped drinking and battled the liver disease for a bit. I got clean for about nine or ten months and went on tour. I was super clean, but my home life wasn’t that great at the time and as soon as I got off tour I started drinking, and then drinking more. I fell right back into being a horrible drunk again.”
“It got so bad I had to go to UCLA Hospital and the doctor said, ‘If you don’t stop, you’re going to die. And right now, you’re looking like you need a new liver.’ I fought liver disease for a couple years and it won. I had to get a liver transplant in 2017.”

Sherman posted on X what appears to be a statement from the family, in which it explained that Cheney "died due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease."
