Author Dan Simmons died a few days ago. Probably one of the best Sci-Fi and Horror authors of the past generation. Those who like that type of story should definitely try his Hyperion series, and The Terror.

Just learned today he was at Julliarad studying classical piano for 12 years before he starting singing and such. While there he wrote songs for some of the big names of the day.

I didn't read the article but today on youtube was recommended what is my secret? He was the person. He was going to Moscow to compete in an event for the US as a pianist.
I was looking for something else and this showed up

i was confused, original singer died in 2007 at age 55.
for shitty live recording, he wasn't bad.

Yeah me too. I was like…no way the original singer of Boston was only 60, gotta be in mid to late 70s. Then saw the other guy killed himself.

Matt Clark -- whose acting career spanned decades in film and TV working alongside some of Hollywood's biggest stars -- has died.

His family tells TMZ ... Clark -- arguably best known for his bartender role in "Back to the Future: Part III" and the TV sitcom "Grace Under Fire" -- died in his Austin, Texas home Sunday morning from complications after back surgery.

Clark appeared in several Westerns on the big and small screens alongside the likes of Clint Eastwood and John Wayne ... and he appeared in the '80s cult classic "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension."

He also appeared on the series "Grace Under Fire" ... along with classic shows including "Bonanza," Kung Fu," and "Dynasty."

he had a small part in one of my favorite movies, the outlaw josey wales

I dont think the series went on too long, that guy just REALLY loved exposition. The amount of detail he puts into describing EVERYTHING can be... exhausting.
