I clicked on the thread seeing it had been updating thinking maybe Shatner had died. It was just what popped in my head. Seeing it was Patrick Stewart was an unpleasant jolt. It was always going to happen but I sure as fuck didn't think it would be today.

This one hurts. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Sir Patrick many years ago. He was gracious, magnanimous, and deeply committed to finding the best for every person. His acting was very fine, I was lucky enough to see him on stage in a Shakespeare production in London. He was the defining person of Star Trek for so many people. Might seem like a silly role, but he made it epic. How many of these do you recognize?
