I at least want the ability to change the intensity of the telegraphs on my screen. I don't need them super bright and dark to see them. That said, I may have played Wildstar at a convention or....something. The combat is fun and far more challenging than anything I've played in an MMO before. If you are stupid and fuck up, you will die.

The feature is smart devs pushing a consistent game mechanic from level 1 on. And actually upping the ante. Not starting at level x where the real game starts. And having mechanics effect mobs as well means there can be more than get out of the fire. You can set up the mobs too. Like that one where the circle drags with the people for a lightning strike. Move it behind the mob, free damage.

That fight where you have to run a gauntlet and interrupt the boss 3 times... I hope there are no bad players.
Doing PUG dungeons will be a nightmare.

IDK, some (SOME) players by now have finally got a grasp on things. Maybe since this game is attempting to appeal to early mmo type days there won't be as many retards. ....hey I can hope. Hope is all I have.

That video is great. If anything I'd describe their style as quirky, not unfunny.
In fact, that vast majority of their videos are very well done. They're upbeat, funny (not hilarious), and they do a great job of creating personality within the game and the races themselves, while communicating key features within the game.
It's a nice change from the over zealous promo hype most games get. "Come check out our game! IT'S FREAKING AWESOME! OMG! HAMMERS!".

There was a raid addon for WoW a few years ago, I have no idea if it ever came back, but it was essentially a telegraph addon.
Blizzard eventually banned it, because it reduced the difficulty of the raid significantly.

Clearly we have extremely different taste in what is both funny, and unfunny... Because that video, to me, was almost offensively unfunny. However, yes, it was very 'well done' just like all the rest of their promotional videos.
Gameplay looks awesome, if a bit too challenging for the market that is gonna flock to Wildstar based on the themes and marketing.

Listen, I'm not being a snob here. I love Anchorman and Superbad just like everybody else... But this is just childish garbage aimed at kids. If you think otherwise, you're deluded, or just a child yourself (mentally or actually).
The game looks fucking awesome, but I'm not gonna let that fact blind me to its (obvious) issues. Kinda what distinguishes a fanboy from an objective adult.

I have no opinion on the game. I've never played it.
However, I really enjoy their videos. In fact, I think it's arguably one of the best marketing strategies to come out of the MMO genre. It's both fun and entertaining in the most light-hearted kind of way. Yet, the way describe it makes them sound like "Ren and Stimpy".
They're building excitement about their game and presenting mechanics without being disingenuous. I'm not sure why you hate it (and anyone who would admit to enjoying it)...the awkward shift to fanboy name-calling revealed as much.

I don't hate the game or people who like the game, in fact as I've stated multiple times, i think it looks great.
