LOL pretty much. If Wildstar were using realistic, super high end graphics the fucking internet would explode with anticipation once they got to see/hear these devs. As it is, I feel like it's slowly building traction once people get over the "it looks cartoony and like WoW". When I was pretty much giving up on GW2 I took a look at the upcoming games (mostly CU, ESO, Wildstar) and it didn't take me long to latch onto Wildstar.

At this point disappointment is a given in this genre, still we can dream.

I'm sure one of these there will 1 MMO that will deliver, it cannot be failures till the end of time...so why not this one.

SO it looks like player housing form Horizons, plus Guild towns/forts from Shadowbane. And an actual explorer class. I could get into this. When do we sausage surprise our way into beta?

This is the third interview I've seen with this guy this week. Not sure how many more are out there. Probably nothing new.

Getting hype as shit is half the fun though. I mean.. if you go into the game expecting it to suck shit, then you're going to find your reasons for it to suck shit, even if in reality they did their jobs quite well.

It's a win/win or lose/lose either way you look at it. For now... all aboard the hype train

It is rather amazing what being transparent about the development of the game can do for the community and how much of a positive effect it has on people.

I'm fairly certain too that if carbine comes up a little short on their goals that the community will be more forgiving then to zenimax.

Hopefully it pays off for them and more studio follow their example.

It's fun as hell following the development of this game.

Now if they would just take my fucking money.

Hearing that 50-70% of the dev team is working on 'elder game' content full time was refreshing to hear for sure.

I could be wrong but the transparency to me is a sign of a good game. I always felt the less devs want to show their game the shitter the game usually is. If you have a good product you are going to WANT to show as much as you can.

Obviously I'm assuming but it's a rational outcome.

On another note, after GW 2 I really feel gear progression needs to be in all 'theme park' MMOs. There has to be another form of progression after hitting level cap. GW 2 proved that unfortunately PvP for pretty muching nothing gets old quickly.
