Also, if any of the current Devspeak humor comes across in the game, it will be glorious. Those videos are great.
Wildstar is ex-blizzard, right? Seems like all the guys who leave to make their own game end up creating some real mediocre stuff at best.

Torchlight was Ex-Blizzard, and both games there were well received.
Utnayan is usually talking about lead designers being the relics shitting everything up. The actual individual developers themselves are rarely the problem.

I totally had that McMMO feel when in SWTOR we discovered Ilum (the max level PvP zone), it was such a gigantic clusterfuck of shitty amateur game design decisions it was like they'd take all the things everyone hate and put them together. I remember Ohlen (SWTOR Game Director) during game hype saying "One of the problems of other MMOs combat is that you often have scenarios where you have multiple heroes beating on a single enemy. That just isn't very Heroic". Then SWTOR PvE is about groups / raids of Jedi / iconic SW heroes hitting a single enemy.
What I see in Wildstar is going on in with friends doing stuff we did in WoW : level together and gank / kill some fellas, then hit max level and try raiding / run BGs & arenas and farm stuff. They're not reinventing the wheel, they're just trying to make a new one. I just hope they'll propose actul endgame available at launch, unlike every MMO since 2007.

It's a nit-pick, I know, but I wish dual wielding classes weren't holding the same item in each hand - SS and Stalker, for instance. Does it mean there is only 1 item slot for your hands and it just shows up in both? Or, does it mean there are 2 item slots for 2 weapons and they will always look the same? Thus far, it's looked like the inventory is rather small. "Boo hoo I miss EQ days where there were 30 slots" or "Hey, that's progressive and tons of items are less important". Not sure yet.

Yeah. I'm actually most interested in Medic and Engineer at this point. If they don't look OMG awesome, Stalker Tank yes please.
