Here is my top 5, with the understanding that i have not played Windrose or Subnautica yet. So either of those would likely crack the top 5 once I play them.
1 Valheim
2 Enshrouded
3 V Rising
4 Palworld
5 Dragonwilds

I'll check it out after I get done with Windrose. Thanks for the suggestion.

Abiotic Factor is a bit different though. It's like a survival game, but with a start and end, feels less like a sandbox than most survival games. Half Life 2 visuals and feel set in a Mesa Lab designed by FromSoft. Level design is amazing in it, shortcuts everywhere. Feature complete 1.0 as well. Highly recommended for anyone who likes survival games, especially if you have "fantasy" fatigue in terms of the genre.

This games starting 3 hours makes Crimson Deserts look like Elden Ring. That said, it is a ton of fun once you get a real ship. Combat is very meh, but it's a great concept and the ship stuff is a ton of fun. They will continune iterating this I'm sure and make it better for 1.0, but just the concept alone is enough to vault this near the top of survival games for me. Love the vibe, the ship stuff, the base building is intuitive and well thought out as well. Subnautica, V Rising, Grounded are probably my favorites and this is up there for sure. I like this more than Enshrouded, for example.

You playing solo or coop? The first stuff is pretty basic bitch but with the combat being actually dangerous, my friends and I are having a fucking blast being noobs.

I've never played Subnautica because I'm not big into horror, and deep water already freaks me out enough. I do plan on trying the second one when it releases, though.
What the fuck.

A) The first blind playthrough of Subnautica is the best survival experience anyone will ever experience, EVER.

B) It's not a horror game. Yes you will probably get jump-scared at least once while playing (almost everyone does) but it's not a horror game.

C) The second one is going to be trash just like Below Zero was trash because Unknown Worlds is a trash studio and the brilliance of the original game was an accident

D) Play Subnautica
