Does anyone here watch Gundam? Tbh, I used to really dig it back in the late 90's and early 2000's, but I haven't seen it in 20+ years. I'm trying to see what yall think about good places to rewatch: Mobile Suit Gundam, Gundam Wing, or is Gundam Origins any decent?
I used to really fuck with Trigun. I read the manga and loved the 1998 anime. I even recently re-read the Manga for maybe the first 7 volumes. I tried watching the modern reboot of it and really just couldn't with how they turned Vash into a Gen Z fuckboy in anesthetics. Hoping Origins is not like that.
i've watched maybe 80% of the animes and movies (the mangas and video games are a whole nother point of cannon)
i haven't watched the latest gquuuuuuuuux, mainly cuz i'm tired of gundam and reboots
you do know there are many different gundam universes and thats why you can reboot (wing is one of them called the AC: after colony)
do you want to watch better reboots or keep on continuing w/ the main universe of msg (called the UC: universal century)
so lets get on w/ UC, gundam origins is good, if you watched msg 1979, this is the prequel (timeline wise) and it follows a certain character (it's an alternate UC, but still all the same characters in the UC, another one like this is gundam thunderbolt, it's good especially if you like jazz i guess)
other good UC
8th ms team
0080 war in the pocket
gundam zeta (or z) follows right after msg1979
if you really want to be completionist you can watch gundam zz (it's a bunch of filler, a bunch of all over the place and nice mecha)
finish w/ chars counter attack
gundam unicorn
in that order, and timeline i guess, ppl would probabaly rank unicorn way higher, gundam zz would be the worst of it, and there are like 10 more ova/series in the uc i don't even mention cuz they are dogshit
if you want reboots and different universes
gundam 00
iron blooded orphans
seed
