The new season has already begun rolling out. I've seen 2 shows so far. MF Ghost season 3 began today, and it was fantastic. True to the Initial D spirit.
The other show I saw was called Yuusha Party wo Oidasareta Kiyoubinbou (Jack of all Trades, Party of None). It's another version of the "Guy from Hero party isn't pulling his weight, so he's kicked from the party and has to figure out his own way going forward" troupe. It wasn't a bad first episode, but it's exactly as to be expected.
Additionally, I put another new show, Tamon-kun Ima Docchi, but as soon as it started I saw it was about a Japanese boy band who were idols or something. I quickly shut it off.

I've been watching the first season but not seeing what the hype is about. Seems very mid and kind of dull so far .

I did like the first episode of Jack of all Trades. I'm a sucker for these kicked out of my party shows though.

It's not all bad. S1 ends decent. S2 is good. I quit on s3. I don't know if it's bad, or if the change of direction they went in was so jarring that it completely throws off what you originally liked in the anime.
Fwiw, I also had a hard time getting into it. I think it took me 3 attempts for me to get to a point in s1 where I started to like it (maybe mid way through)
But it does get better. And then it gets worse lol

Re:Zero has the most detestably annoying main character in the history of anime, and trust me, he has some heavy competition. Him being such an insufferable faggot really drags an otherwise good story down.

It was probably easier to tolerate the slowness when you were watching it once a week, plus he only spends like 3 episodes per conversation in s1. It gets so, sooo much worse. There's a reason everyone jokes about the show being just a conversation in a room. I checked out completely early s3.
If I had had the capacity to binge it, I seriously doubt I'd have made it even that far.

I guess I'm glad I quit Slime when he stopped being a slime and took the body of a prepubescent girl. There are few things I hate more than the child-looking main characters.
I managed to watch 9999 Gacha or whatever it is called despite the MC, but at least they hand-waved away an explanation for why he looks like a kid. It is a stupid explanation, sure, but at least there is one. And he's a bloodthirsty revenge-driven asshole, so that helped a little. The Unaware Atelier Maester was about as far as I can tolerate in terms of kid MCs.
I just read this thread and saw the All You Need is Kill talk, and in the span of about 3 minutes I went from really excited to really disappointed. Who the fuck looked at that animation and said fuck yeah, that nailed it, carry on ladies/trannies!

I haven't watched the trailer until right now. And I'll admit, the characters look pretty shitty. But the backgrounds and 3D stuff isn't bad. I'll give it a shot none the less.
