I'm 100% down with some unapologetic JSDF jingoism, what I'm not down with is this being some shitty spinoff instead of a continuation of the story of Itami and his not-quite harem.
Fuck. Must be a blue moon or something. Gavin is on the right side of an argument.

They did a rush job on the original GATE series, so why the interest in this one?

First one was pretty fun, entirely apart from the inherent entertainment in the modern military vs swords and sorcery ( I don't know why there are so few examples of this ? ).

It's played mostly straight, but it doesn't take itself too seriously, and there's a fun sense of humor through it. Like when the main cast is having a stereotypical 'hot springs' episode completely oblivious to the special forces bloodbath going on all around them.

Well I am a little upset. Hianime worked a lot better than these other trash sites.

Yes I know Nyaa works fine but I don't want to deal with that shit most of the time.

9anime has worked well for me so far. It was always my backup when Hianime was having issues.

moonarchia moonarchia , Kunon any good? I've caught up on almost everything I'd be the least interested in watching outside of Trigun which is hard for me to maintain interest in.

I liked it enough after the first ep to binge the manga. And I am still enjoying the anime. Goofy humor, and a fun story.

Tis Time For Torture, Princess has been really good. S2 has been every bit as wholesome as S1 was.

I got a survey from them last week asking me I wanted more diversity, gays, and whamen in my anime.

Ok. As long as they're lipstick lesbian. Not some butch bull dyke. The 5-minute long Does it Count episodes are good enough.

Roll Over and Lesbian went from trashy fun to dogshit the past couple episodes.

How can Frieren be so goddamn funny on top of everything else? I lost it when she found an immediate use for one of those worthless spells.

I'm always struck by how much show they fit into 20 mins.

The manga is like that too. Just an amazing story all around. This is a great arc, too. Been looking forward to it for a while now.

Frieren is legitimately incredible storytelling. And not by any cultural standard, its just great.

Also, something that I think I've known but I didn't really appreciate until a rewatch of s1... the music is incredible.

Its a lot like when I replayed Witcher 3. I appreciated the story right away but the music didn't hit me til the second time around.

Heh, Rory Mercury wasnt oblivious. All the bloodletting was getting her worked up.
