Wet sanding oil finishes is a great technique to get a very smooth finished surface. The fine particles fill the grain nicely.

Current project. Working on a lemonade stand for my daughter and the neighbor kids. I'm doing blue and yellow on alternating panels.
I used some build plans, but I suspect I'll be adding a few more pieces once all the side and roof panels get put on.

Don't forget taxes. The son of my niece sold lemonaide in a busy area a few years ago. Someone coming home form work paid with a $100/bill and didn't want change. My sister said she was going to introduce him to taxes and take part of it lol.

came close to buying this, but talked myself out of it as didn't need another project. the clamps were frozen but the thumb screws moved. apparently there are some rollers in there, guess that would be the gamble.

did some reading, having the correct rulers and stops can take this from being worth $50 to $200+. they wanted $25 for it.

I am pretty positive my dad built 2 airplanes on this exact model of saw.

$150. I forgot how awesome belt drive saws are. It's like a suppressor for your wood shop.

Not very woodworking - but its finish related.

This if RMP pure Tung oil dark half pine. Tung oil and pine solvent mix w/ darkening resin. It did exactly what I wanted and is an easy to apply. This is 1 coat, I most likely will do only 1 more as it’s essentially the shade I wanted.

Looks good. I like tung oil a lot. It's just really easy to apply and gives a nice look when used on the right woods.
