is pointing it out here. The developers have changed as a whole, and with that, the ideals that they want to accomplish. The newer devs have came to power, and anyone that brings forward an idea that isnt in their wheelhouse of socialism, which even they believe will make the company more money is instantly shut down.
We knew developers in the 90's were nerds, obviously. We knew that when they went to school, they looked up to the jocks and had a popularity complex. Now, regardless of what you think happened to the developers since then, we all know that on average, theyre a fucking socialist, liberal cuck. I mean fuck, they work hand in hand with fucking literal fucking trannies day in and day out now. I'd find a new fucking job as soon as that shit show hit the floor if I worked for a company.
We have plenty of examples of games that dont cater to the LCD that do well. Increasingly so as they come out because the market is so flooded with these other BS games. Hell, you can look at Dragonflight as an exact example that this shit doesnt work. Theyre catering to the player bases every complaint and people are like "Theyre listening, finally!" and.. player numbers are still dropping. Brads McQuads generation of developers have been replaced by the ion hazzikostas generation of developers and now all Im doing right now is waiting on his fucking generation to be replaced.

Modern business have learned the average consumer is so fucking dumb they will happily pay outrageous prices for products that cost next to nothing to provide, often the very same product that was once freely included.
Its simple math. Do you want to invest 25-50+ million in a project building out some full fledged game for meager returns or do you want to invest 3-4 million in some bare bones lootbox simulator and get 10x+ returns?

Blizzard should just kill retail and build an alternative universe series that focuses more on the Black Empire and Old Gods directly after WOW classic., or even go really deep in time and have it take place during the Black Empire. Instead of creating dumb new races to play, just make more common races in WOW able to be playable (furbologs, harpies, etc).
Keep it simple, maximize the fun. Have a nice linear progression of content lore without making huge jumps (like going at the titans). Could just have infinite content patches that open up new areas slowly without needing new expansion after expansion. I'd pay a little more money a month for that.

Simple solution: You dont let the current devs do it. I'm not into this Hardcore shit but it's the perfect example. Outsource it to community members who actually care and are actually talented. The Liquid general manager for MMOs brought this up - just give people the client and let them create game modes. If the community wants Hardcore where you can only talk in /say and it takes a 5 man to kill a mob they'll go there. If they want Classic+ with some class adjustments they can go there. If they want raid finder loot pinata GDKPs I'm sure someone will make it. And if they want full loot zone conquest Shadowbane in WoW they can go there too.
Lockdown the rights like they tried with WC3 Reforged or whatever so it doesnt turn into Dota but just let the community make it and decide what they want to play

Idk i think despite how "well received" dragonflight was they cant even give the game away (according to the battlenet patcher they have been trying to give it away for a while now to get players back). Shit looks like a bud light display with rebates for more than the cost of the case just to pump their numbers up.
Bringing back JJ for this baby phase seems like desperation. You'd expect it in preparation for ICC but for phase 3 it seems meh.
I think the raid logging has led to maybe sub canceling, at least as long as the weather is nice, at least until lich king drops. Normally retail would keep shit afloat during lulls in activity in classic but retail is dead.
