Looked at a few of the discords last week when I saw the leak of the release timeline.

The rogue disco had a convenient picture of the trees, pointing out all the bugs. They just rolled out a new patch, so some things were probably fixed, but last week there were at least 33 issues for just Assassination rogues (11 of which were in class tree)(Outlaw and Sub trees looked to have just as many). Pictures linked below.

They have approximately one month till pre-patch, and those trees go live. If all classes have that many issues, who thinks the dev team will be able to squash even 80% of those within 30 some day?

The rogue disco mods unpin the pictures with all the bugs listed when a new patch drops. The Outlaw and Sub discos move too fast to go digging for their old bug list:

I remember in the past when some specs were broken and unusable. I think there was a couple of times with Shaman and the devs simply said go fuck yourselves better luck next time. Why would you think now would be any different? They are to busy adding queermosexual content for the degenerates to focus on class trees.

Oh I assume the pre-patch is shaping up to be a shitshow, but instead of only a few classes with problems, all the classes will have them. I think they pushed back the pre-patch in one of the last two xpacs, so they could go that route, with a two week pre-patch, to buy more time. That way maybe only half of the classes have broken important talents

After rigorous research by their marketing team, obviously Blizzard found Wolf, Panda, and Fox furfags were a larger demographic to appeal to. Now, finally, the scalefags get to live out their Elwin Forest fantasies instead of searching out Rule 34 Alexstrasza and Chromie times...but sure, there were probably some deranged individuals sitting at Wyrmrest temple, rubbing one out, way back in WotLK.

Why are people saying that the art team is good?

They literally iust hired a machinina guy to make their WotLK trailer, with lots of added effects, because their in house people are shit.

It's copy paste Wrath zones for an expansion.

Now you're just being obtuse. No one here is arguing that the themes used in DF are being taken from previous expansions. You're insinuating that theyre reusing art assets which they very clearly are not. From a marketing perspective, reusing/retooling the most popular themes in the game for 'member berries is probably the smartest thing theyve done.

Besides, your favorite games retention rate fell flat. Most WoW players did NOT stay in FFXIV. New player count for WoW is shit and has been for a while, so the numbers stated here are almost all returning players.

I don't mind asset reuse, I would evem say it's a good thing as long as you also upgrade the old assets. You just don't get called an amazing art team for making a higher poly Coldarra/Nexus.

I haven't been blown away by a zone since Suramar or Argus. FF14 has a few highlights with The Tempest, Mare Lamentorum and Elpis, but otherwise they are not much better - their strength is dungeon and raid environments.

I don't give a shit, I'm not playing FF14 either.

The days of playing one game to death exclusively are over. I'm looking forward to the next FF14 patch though - they'll get my sub 3-4 times a year now.

Ardenweald is one of the best looking zones they've ever made, especially the atmospheric effects. What I've seen of the DF zones looks pretty nice and each zone is supposed to be massive.

Bellular has zero conviction. He will eat up whatever slop he’s served. But his income depends on it. Asmon gold is the same to some extent.

That other streamer? Talliesin? I watched some vid of his speculating about classic server futures. Couldn’t make it through. He constantly sounded like he’d eaten some other dude’s cum out of his wife too many times in the past.

Bellular is a lucky retard, he wasted his FF14 playthrough offline and left a ton of money on the table.

Hot take. WotLK is a better fucking game overall than anything in 14 and I can’t think of anything worse than watching someone stream fucking cutscenes in an mmo. Has nothing to do with Bellular and leaving money on the table. I just want to be a dick today.

I’ll still go back and finish 14. But it’s not a good sign it can’t hold this mmo/arpg junkie’s attention for more than a month.

Just don't do MSQ 24/7 until you hit late Shadowbringers, mix it with alt jobs and other stuff.

I'd say that WotLK was a better MMO than FF14 is now, as was BC and Vanilla. As an RPG they are just different.

WotLK did contains the seeds of the eventual rot though.

LFD is aboutall i can point at as "rot" and maybe too easy heroics and naxx was too easy. TOC needed a second raid with it, but otherwise the whole xpac was a near magnum opus...I'd actually argue Vanilla-WotLK is the best themepark MMO experience ever created. And SWTOR was far superior as an RPGMMO to 14. I'd rank 14 as my fourth or fifth favorite MMORPG or RPGMMO.

The shitty storytelling style started in WotLK with Wrathgate. Yes we all thought that was awesome, but I don't think it belongs in an MMO.

It then led to "There must always be a Lich King" cringe and Battle for Undercity #1 which lagged out the game and had to be deleted.

They also obseleted a bunch of dungeons and raids with the ICC Dungeons.

Ff14 literally uses only tropes. Constantly. It may not have a “there must always be…” trope but the entire story is cutscene after cutscene filled with cliches followed by instanced single player battles. Just like the fucking wrath gate. Blizz just fucked uo the tech.

I’ll grant obsoleting content. That’s always been wow’s thing.

What tropes?

I agree about the cutscenes though, FF14's story isn't an MMO, it's a single player game and Endwalker only forces co-op twice. It's a great story though.

MMOs should be a world to live in and explore, not cutscenes and plot twists.

Wrathgate should have been part of Warcraft 4. They could have used a series of RTS expansions to drive the story with WoW changing as a consequence.
