You should do the Assist at the Iron Docks quest to open up Tanaan Jungle. The dailies there gives thousands of apexis.

I just came back after a long brake and have been enjoying my Resto shaman. I played the hell out of the time walking events last weekend not realizing it's not an everyday thing. Most of my gear is 675 now from the timeworn badges. Currently working on my legendary ring, is there anyway to make more than the 800 apexis crystals a day? I noticed some mobs drop a couple times, but not enough for me to want to grind them.

Are garrisons going away? I pretty much ignore mine at this point, haven't even done the naval quest.
No idea how they'll nerf that gold generating cow in Legion, but you'll need to do the naval junk to finish the legendary ring, and it's "free" gold and legendary mats. It's going to be annoying if your garrison dudes are all still low level, but eh. Pick up the addon and queue them all up once a day or whatever.

I can only speak for Rift circa Hammerknell, but Chloromancers were never quite as good at healing as other healers because they had limited direct heals. All their healing was smart heals and a beacon-like spell you could place on a tank. We always ran with 2 (1 per tank) but no more. They were strong (and fun to play!) but you couldn't just rely on chloromancers.
That's fine, I brought them up as an example of that playstyle being fun to play. Balancing is something different - rift was probably a good spot for them; if their healing is equal in every way there's no reason to bring any other healer. This is more of a problem for WoW because being able to bring 5 of a class is part of their 'player not the class' push.

Takes a few weeks to get it set up, but even a 'gimped' Level 3 Garrison can still pull in 500-1000g a week with a few treasure hunters/level 3 Inn/Tavern.

If you have put any effort into it, you can easily make 10-15k a month from the Garrison and another 5-10k a month from the Shipyard, per character. Which just involves logging in, spending maybe 5 minutes per character collecting missions and then sending them out, then logging off.

This is NOT counting when RNGesus smiles on you and gives you Blingtron's Vault (4k) or the crazy ship mission (like 7k). Vault was the big 'nerf' in 6.2 or whenever it came out. It is significantly rarer. I have 8 Garrisons set up and I see it MAYBE twice a month across all of those characters, when it used to be 5-6 times a month.

I usually queue my followers twice a day. Takes me 6-7mn for 10 characters, but that's because I'm only sending them on money making missions, that is: gold, GR, and tokens. You convert GR into gold (I don't both with mats, I straight out buy bag of golds) at the trading post, and sell back tokens, plus every week or two, you open the crates you got during this and sell back all the trash greens, tokens and mats. That makes me an average of 9-10k a week per character.

I'm not even bothering with the fleet; it will take too long to set up a no-maintenance/no-replacement fleet to grab every gold mission that pops for 10 characters. I'm probably missing an additional 3-4k per character, but at that point, I'm only chasing BMAH mounts and ultra-rare pets.

You can make a hell of a lot more than that. 'Unknown' is the shipyard. No rare gold missions for today, 7/11 shipyards in full operating mode, 4/11 still re-rolling for dwarf ships ;p

Low amount from AH because I am recovering garrison resources from re-tooling all the shipyards ( 100% of AH income is from craft mats bought with capped garrison resources )

It's only useful while you're starting out. Once you've filled your garrison with your treasure hunter/scavengers, you don't need it anymore. There's nothing really important to replace it however. You may add a disenchant cabinet; disenchanting baleful to make enchanter mats yields more gold. But we're talking less than a hundred gold a week profit (difference between straight out selling the baleful to vendor and AH the results).

Yeah no reason to not have it.

Barracks, Inn, Bunker, Trading Post, Bank, and Salvage if you are starting to or maintaining a gold farm.

Once you are established you can swap the bunker over to a stables if that character ever leaves the garrison mainly for interacting with items while mounted. Chests and stuff in the jungle are infinitely easier this way.

Wow, I browsed warcraftlogs a bit. Talk about inflation. The worst dps are doing around three times the damage as the best dps were when we did up to gorefiend and said "meh, we're done." Of course that's everyone having rings + actually having mythic gear + valor upgrades. But while the relative power has stayed stuck in the same place for the entire expansion, the gaps have gotten SO much wider holy fuck. I don't think I ever remember it being so bad. You can literally be worth half or less of another class in your best spec. And still be twice as good as someone else.

Of course after the initial "HOLY SHIT" I had to throw out the logs of the 0-healer boss kills. Holy fucking broken. 550k+? LFR people struggle to reach 30k.

Now, I understand that high gear levels really magnify balance issues. And in their quest to make classes so "different" going back several expansions they've made balance all but impossible. But my god, they nerfed specs that were only marginal, buffed good ones, and left godly ones alone. What the fuck are they doing? Is the PVP guy fully in charge of classes?

Around WOLK they had things pretty tight as far as my drug addled brain can recall. But it's just gone full retard ever since.

It's no faster in normal or heroic right? Same amount drop as in LFR?

LFR on Tuesday nights are full of mythic raiders getting their valor. It's pretty quick.

They didn't update the token it gives to the current tier of tokens, and they added a vendor that sells 645 upgrades for followers, so bunker is not very useful, and when your guys are capped, it's entirely useless.

There's no really compelling replacement though - I've changed the chars I use for stuff other than garrison to a mage tower - teleport to tanaan and bloodmaul saves a decent chunk of time if you are actively using them. The random rune of power perk for the tower is also not bad for soloing. Stables, as mentioned, are a decent alternative but the mount speed boost doesn't stack with a lot of stuff.

Unless they fucked something up for alliance this is wrong. The war mill gives the current raid seal.

It gives the current raid seal on Alliance too. You can get all 3 using Apexis by doing one day of the Order of the Awakened + daily objective though (3500 total per week), so I would say the war mill for the free seal isn't worth it. Personally I find the interacting with things while mounted and crit rune are awesome perks.
