Goddamn that's sad you ask for content and the replies are grinding out 25 reps, slamming your dick doing the same raid but on + gooder, or slamming your dick doing the same dungeons over and over again on ++ gooder.

Lol, I guess if you are still subbed you would defend anything.
You played Legion, you've said before Legion was a good expansion. So tell me, wtf is different in that from Legion?

Legion made everything fun with decent rewards. It was the first time I had max rep on my main and all my top level alts, and I did it without thinking about it. DF has renown with rewards that aren't worth obtaining unless you like playing with Barbies. There's crafting revamp which no one wanted and no one uses except for consumables. By the time the average person gets the crafting stuff from renown, WQ gear will have made them obsolete.

WQ's themselves only pop 2x a week instead of several times a day. I guess there are dailies, but no one wanted them back.

Once again. Blizz iterating on things that don't work while throwing out things that do.

On the surface, outside of raids and M+, there seems to be a lot to do, but those things are only for bored housewives and homosexuals.

I flew around the new zones last night. Prime time gaming hours. I counted 11 people on my faction total. Server pops drying up 2 weeks into an expac means there are a lot of people who feel like there isn't anything worth doing.

Hard to know where to begin with such an unbiased and objective take.

So there's raids and m+ for the gamers, and shit to collect for the casual homos. That seems like there's shit to do.

I thought people said they enjoyed the leveling experience? Am I wrong in assuming the centaur quest line is mandatory?

Maybe my attention span isn't what it once was, but I have absolutely 0 fucks to give about the 10 centaur clans created by a random name generator. And the story line quest making you walk at a snails pace with their caravan is just eye gouging boredom.

You don’t have to walk with them. You can just fly to the destination.

Correct. It even says optional on the quest.. admittedly, which I thought was a bug, but when I actually saw the caravan moving slowly, I said "fuck that" and flew right out of there.

Was happy it was optional.

Renown that rewards cosmetic items and toys. You can buy more cosmetic items and toys with higher rep. That is the entire expac except for raids and mythic.

There's a group of people for whom this expac was designed for, and it isn't heterosexual males.
Reminds me of when one of the Game Grump associated people, Ross, set up a whole documentary of the group playing WoW for the first time with the Warlords of Draenor Expansion.

He bought them all level boosts which was a mistake, but he trusted in Blizzard to have a reasonable new player experience.

The whole group were miserable cunts about it the entire time and they had to cancel the documentary after 2 episodes.

The end of that episode was Ross' wife Holly, who was a WoW YouTuber, getting involved and showing them toys, mounts and pets. They loved that shit.

Not long after she cheated on him and they got divorced.

Anyway, WoW desperatly needs some new side content. They have the infrastructure for literally everything that FF14 has from the numerous failed concepts like Garrisons and Torghast. It's just all poirly implemented and they insist on things being expansion exclusive so that they can advertise new features each expansion.

So wow should be more like FF14,
That's a good idea actually, yes. Thanks for suggesting it.

you just can't help yourself at this point can you?
I invested A LOT of my best years into WoW so I'm kinda salty that they took my money and goodwill and failed to iterate the genre in a positive way.

WoW does a lot of things better than FF14 so they shouldn't be copying everything. Just the raids, ability to change class and side content. The zone/quest design, PvP and storytelling method are better in classic.

FF14 has a bunch of engine limitations so I'd imagine that a FF17 would murder WoW if Legends of Runeterra (Riot MMO) hasn't already done the deed.

I never played retail WoW past vanilla so I can't tell you where they went wrong per se, but classic, Vanilla WoW is better than FF14 in every single category measurable. TBC I pretty much skipped but WOTLK is also better than FF14.

Well let's see...

WoW raids I was an incel in my parent's attic playing all afternoon to get consumables then all evening past midnight either on progression or dissapointing clears of things on farm. That's 12 hour days to clear Sunwell, not optimal of course, lots of self loathing and depression imbetween.

I also loved the nights where not enough people showed up to farm. 90% of the time was spent waiting, clearing trash, corpse running, waiting then reclearing trash. At least I could get in a cheeky wank on the longer waits and tab out to some porn. The players were of very poor quality and trying to teach people how to avoid Deep Breath on Onyxia in Classic made me quit.

FF14 raids I spend an afternoon at the weekend or a few hours after work learning the fights in learning groups. Then I join a clear group and hopefully get it done. Now I can join groups with only players who have beat it and farm it as much as I want. 95% of the time is actually fighting the boss.

The players are good quality because the game forces you to beat a bunch of the raids to progress. I feel personally responsible for my part of the victory instead of zerging the boss down and it's all to the best soundtrack in gaming history.

Raiding is terrible in WoW, they literally couldn't make it worse.

FF14 is the best story in gaming history and a good MMO locked behind a single player RPG with terrible gameplay.

WoW is an excellent MMO which has been run into the ground by woke Californian tech overlords with a poor grip on reality.

That has everything to do with who you are playing with not a single thing to do with the game itself. WoW raiding encounters have always been one of the strongest aspects of the game throughout the years. Many of the issues that arise today are the scaling difficulty levers and people trying to pretend that this is somehow different/additional content. Killing dicknuts a 25/50/75/100 power for a red/green/blue/pink sparkle didlo of +gooder will never be as fun or as exciting as just beating the boss that is balanced and tuned well for most of the playerbase.

M+ while an interesting concept that adds a bit of longevity to dungeons was a nice touch, but forever grinding out the same 6 items each new season on whatever bloated jogger brained ilvl for the 300th time trying to add +1 number to the run is gayer than 8 dudes blowing 9 dudes.

Dailies have always been dogshit trash since the introduction in TBC, the conditioning to log in day after day after day after day for some drip feed rewards for your chore is the same reason shit like Lost Ark becomes total fucking aids.

Content being easy or quick to consume is fine though, as fun as MMOs are they shouldn't require more than a night or two of playing to accomplish the content. I was more pointing to the fact that dummies are pretending grinding rep on repeat of a golden flying dildo or doing X dungeon for the 823rd time but this time on +1 more gooder is content. It's not its aids.

Still going back to your FF14 nonsense, ultimately it sounds like you sucked at WoW and played with shit people, which makes sense once you stated you did M+ with a fucking controller and are nothing more than a giant fucking sandbag the rest of the group carries around, also explains why you would have been playing with people who couldn't even clear trash mobs. But in FF14 either you played better or got carries and that magically make it better for you.

MMORPGs are fun games but they are social games and that is lost with current WoW long ago, the people you play with make it fun or not more than anything else. It's why dick grindingly tuned Mythic world first raid shit has always been stupid as fuck, causes burn out and forced people to quit. A good MMORPG is designed well enough you can carry a few soccer mom healers, and Tom who is kind of a retard but is fun enough to lighten the mood.

This is every guild I was in, including the best Horde guild on one of the servers. I cleared Sunwell so either player quality wasn't an issue or the game was too easy.

Which part? Surely not the waiting and trash clearing? So that's 90% of it that's dogshit.

Well I raided in the single difficulty era, so you are saying that they made it worse since?

All this stuff is agreeing with my point though. You posted mote about how WoW sucks than I did.

FF14 objectively is much more difficult for every player. I don't think that a Tank can be carried through Ultimate Zodiark and Ultimate Endsinger because of the tank swaps right after skill intense sequences.

If Controller was a detriment, Playstation vs PC players would be a thing in FF14 since it's crossplay. It isn't, nobody cares.

You got to the root with a little help. You said it yourself, the only roadblock to raiding in vanilla to WOTLK was degenerate basement dwelling. You don't have to do any of that shit anymore, except farm rep and M+ a bit depending on how hardcore your guilds ilvl requirements are.

If you're comparing raiding experience from the bygone era to what it is today to FF you are far off the mark.

Whether the expansion has sucked, whether the content patch has been shit, at the end of the day they have hit it out of the park on pretty much every single raid since Black Rock Foundry.

I can't comment whether FF14 raiding is harder then WOW as I never did it other then getting carried through Alexander raid. I'll admit the visuals and asthetics are great in FF14, I just can't comment from a fight design perspective if they are on par with WOW.

However I'd bet a large amount of gold that WOW has it beat in complexity and design.

Also fuck you for getting me to talk about FF14 once again in the WOW thread.

I'll never understand why MMO players expect or even WANT an MMO to entertain them for 40+ hours a week. I love that you can finish up most of WoW in a day or two of "hardcore" gaming. It leaves plenty of time to do other shit outdoors, other games, work, etc. Not to mention, people acting like the "golden age" of WoW had waaaay more content at their respective xpac launches are fucking hilarious.

Wrath (arguably WoW's greatest expansion) launched with two fucking bosses that were "new" (And one you didn't even really get to fight because of gay ass vehicle bullshit) and a 100% recycled raid that people had already done. And that was the ONLY raiding content for like 4-5 MONTHS, when Ulduar finally launched.
