Yeah, the limitations on which bonuses scale or not limit the wackiness compared to Mists Remix.

The biggest sticking point to me is movement speed. Your warband doesn't inherit it and you don't get bonuses to it from thread drops. The only source is via armor mods, which are capped at 49% to boot. But since everyone (other than those doing serious keys, maybe) runs with max speed gear, there are no options for slow classes to catch up to fast ones. Even Mythic raid mobs die so quickly that slower classes probably don't even get to hit the raid boss by the time you're a couple kills in.

When I went to pug Mythic last night - I noticed there was a fuck ton of groups "ON KJ - NEED MORE!" "KJ ONLY!" type shit. The group I signed up for on a fresh run - we wiped maybe 3 times? 4? And finally, instead of just jumping off the side when most people died - the last 4/5 of us just did the entire fight ourselves. Farmed the shit out of that raid, so its just second nature to me at this point.

Credit given where credit is due as I work through War Within;
  • Game looks great
  • some really good background music
  • I still get a chuckle out of quest titles occasionally (I think I'm a drone now)
  • Demon Hunter (Havoc) is fun to play
  • This new expansion has been fun to look at
The story? Couldn't tell you, don't read quests and don't pay attention to cut scenes. I have no clue what is going on, why Teen Super Force is leading the charge, why Dalaran had to be blown up, where we are, what any of this had to do with that big ass sword that got stabbed into the planet, why we are taming up with bugs instead of going full Starship Troopers on them, nada, zilch, zip, and I actually almost regret it. On future playthrough with an alt I might pay more attention, really hated seeing Dalaran blow up though.

Skyriding sucks, not that it's bad per se it's just that it's horrible for how I play the game. It's fine for medium distances, or going down wards, but otherwise it's just another management system on something that doesn't benefit from it.

What did they change about dragonriding/new flying? In the Dragonfurryfucker xpac it was great and much faster than old flying.

It still is. Some folks just don't like it. I am one of them. I like being able to hover and afk though.

Have to complete 5 achievements first, for Pathfinder, then you can. Until then I am locked into Skyriding and it just does not work with my playstyle. I am not a fan of momentum based movement systems, I don't need Skyriding overwriting my action keys, but it is good for medium distances (one to three flight points), irritating for longer flights, and fucking worthless for -2second hops which I do a lot of.
