Yeah, the limitations on which bonuses scale or not limit the wackiness compared to Mists Remix.

The biggest sticking point to me is movement speed. Your warband doesn't inherit it and you don't get bonuses to it from thread drops. The only source is via armor mods, which are capped at 49% to boot. But since everyone (other than those doing serious keys, maybe) runs with max speed gear, there are no options for slow classes to catch up to fast ones. Even Mythic raid mobs die so quickly that slower classes probably don't even get to hit the raid boss by the time you're a couple kills in.

When I went to pug Mythic last night - I noticed there was a fuck ton of groups "ON KJ - NEED MORE!" "KJ ONLY!" type shit. The group I signed up for on a fresh run - we wiped maybe 3 times? 4? And finally, instead of just jumping off the side when most people died - the last 4/5 of us just did the entire fight ourselves. Farmed the shit out of that raid, so its just second nature to me at this point.

Credit given where credit is due as I work through War Within;
  • Game looks great
  • some really good background music
  • I still get a chuckle out of quest titles occasionally (I think I'm a drone now)
  • Demon Hunter (Havoc) is fun to play
  • This new expansion has been fun to look at
The story? Couldn't tell you, don't read quests and don't pay attention to cut scenes. I have no clue what is going on, why Teen Super Force is leading the charge, why Dalaran had to be blown up, where we are, what any of this had to do with that big ass sword that got stabbed into the planet, why we are taming up with bugs instead of going full Starship Troopers on them, nada, zilch, zip, and I actually almost regret it. On future playthrough with an alt I might pay more attention, really hated seeing Dalaran blow up though.

Skyriding sucks, not that it's bad per se it's just that it's horrible for how I play the game. It's fine for medium distances, or going down wards, but otherwise it's just another management system on something that doesn't benefit from it.

What did they change about dragonriding/new flying? In the Dragonfurryfucker xpac it was great and much faster than old flying.

It still is. Some folks just don't like it. I am one of them. I like being able to hover and afk though.

Have to complete 5 achievements first, for Pathfinder, then you can. Until then I am locked into Skyriding and it just does not work with my playstyle. I am not a fan of momentum based movement systems, I don't need Skyriding overwriting my action keys, but it is good for medium distances (one to three flight points), irritating for longer flights, and fucking worthless for -2second hops which I do a lot of.

Now that I have gained the ability to switch back and forth between the flying modes, at least on my main haven't checked my alts, I don't hate skyriding anymore.
I don't like it, but I don't hate it.

It's account wide. Dragonriding is fast, but no hover or precise movement. Do the fly straight up one 4-5 time, and aim just enough downward to always be in fast mode, hit fly up as needed to stay above obstacles.

I get what he's saying, though. I think - personally - that you should be able to transition between the two modes "at will". Shouldnt need to do some arbitrary achievements just to do that. The two flight modes are as different as WoW's Slow Fall and EverQuest's Levitate (in terms of mechanics). I dont think its relatively about the speed of the utility anymore, but more so a complaint about the amount of required attention it now takes to travel. I can go from Trial of Valor to Emerald Nightmare in under a minute with Dragon Riding. Where as classic flying takes probably 3-5 minutes. But I had to be at the keyboard for Dragon Riding, and classic flying - I could get up and go take a piss.

Some of you fuckers need to come back and play this with us, I haven't had this much fun with WoW in years, brief as this will last.

Add me as another that can boost people, around rank 250 with vers now, soloing everything on DH. Just ask, it's part of the fun in this.

Running M+ solo to see how far I can go, doing +20s currently, and shit still just falling over and no risk of dying yet, likely be into 30s by this evening.

Lets get that +40 title later today, I should have a key just about ready.

My Blood DK is around 500 versatility as of today and getting around 30 more each day doing Mythic raids, so I should be able to take you or others who need that here through a +40 (for title) or +50 (for achiev) easily enough in a week or two, if you still need it by then.

I'm really enjoying Legion Remix too, though I played the shit out of Legion back then and have since farmed pretty much everything in it as old content farms, it's still a really solid expansion, one of the best ones of the entire series for sure.

The only downside is how fucking slow and weak I feel on my actual main on Retail when I switch over to do some of my weekly stuff. God damn.

I was zooming through everything no problem, was just this one boss, rest of instance was easy as a M+ 29, just slower since shit had 1100%ish boost to HP. I vaguely recall a similar situation with same boss years ago I think while solo (maybe during OG legion?) I think it's meant to be soaked by the group, despite what the ability description says. One I did before was lower Kara, and I was pulling entire rooms and my health was just twitching a couple %, occasionally. Think there is a another Legion era boss that does something similar, but i haven't run into it yet.

Shame, I was really having fun running them.

I wasn't aware there was an ach for 50+, I'll take a carry, yes sir.

I logged into my regular retail DH briefly (had to copy all his macros) and hes sooooo fucking slow, remix ruined DH for me I think, I hear ya on that one.

Remix DH is like LARPing as Voldeth Voldeth kinda, just really fast.
