I think they already have. Then again P99 got a cease and desist at one point. Uthgard gave SoE (I think it was SoE at the time) 5 grand and they buzzed off. Now Rogean is on some Daybreak project. Strange times, and how you play your cards matters.
Turtle advertising on YouTube was monumentally stupid. So was @ing Blizzard and talking shit on Twitter.
Dare I say take a page from P99s book and keep up a donation link and your mouth shut seems to be the play. Maybe mail the donator a 20 slotter per sizable donation or something under the table?
Daybreak is pretty gimpy, Microsoft ain't fuckin playin tho.
Loved Turtle but wtf was the game plan with going onto Twitter and actually actively taunting Blizzard.
That's like actively attacking a cop because you're a sovereign citizen and thinking you can get away with it. It's just flat out fucking retarded.
Ascension also advertises on Youtube never seen a turtle Ad but I know Ascension was pretty aggressive with it for awhile back like two years ago.
Regardless Turtle dying sucks, it was a legitimately fun version of WoW and anyone that believes that Blizzard can live up to that standard is blind as fuck, look at SoD it was uninspired as fuck talents didn't scale with most runes unless it was a direct damage increase to your character or some shit, Dungeons were the same for the most part, their idea of fun was level gating it and taking an existing dungeon and turning it into a raid and tying World Buffs to it.
Was SoD fun? It was an okay experience but it wasn't classic+. Classic+ would be fixing and improving upon classic. Making talent trees viable without needing a crutch of Runes, it added no actual new content until the scarlet raid which was so popular that they had to offer free MoP boosts for people to complete it.
Turtle did classic+ right. New races were awesome, class changes were great, new zones and instances were fantastic. If anyone expects Blizzard to give a good version of Classic+ be ready to be sad.
Be ready for gay shit, it was in SoD it will be in Vanilla+.
