Can you wear these over regular glasses?
I do.

But also now if I need just a "boost" without getting stupid magnification (like working on things with smallish screws like laptop cases) I have a pair I just clip onto my readers.

Also, my original "in the workshop/painting minis" glasses were all about wearable over readers/regular glasses. But they were also heavier,....

With all this said both of these options are good for "boost up what my readers do", but those full on serious ass ones I mentioned earlier can give you a FAR greater magnification for when you need to get stupid tiny detail.

And I guess my entry for how I know I'm really fucking ancient. I have a collection of, and accumulated wisdom about... magnifying glasses options.

Thanks, I typically where a headlamp just to help get a bit of sharpness to whatever I'm working on so I think either of those will do nicely.

Are you familiar with ... hwatever these things are called? I don't care for headgear, so I have one of these in the house, in the garage, and in my workshop.

Probably depends on what exactly your glasses are correcting. My only eye problem is an astigmatism. I could probably wear them over my glasses. But if yours are correcting for far or near sightedness I bet it will be different. Off the top of my head, I would guess you should wear whatever glasses you need to see up close.

But those things look like torture devices to me. I feel like my third eye is being poked when I think about wearing them. So I won't be testing my theories.
theyre pretty lightweight so you don't notice them, i only have one eye i can use for upclose and i forget which one, but when i put it on i know cuz i just took the monocle off the other eye.

led is actually also pretty bright, i use it for soldering

I can tell you it's really bright. Also this is America, don't be linking no Canuk shit here. ;)

Edit:

Hmm maybe you canuks are not big enough to handle the big stuff? This is from the 'merican website:

wo brightness settings allow users to select 250 or 500 lumens to match illumination to the task at hand. High-quality LEDs are spaced evenly around the magnifying lens for full workspace illumination. This light allows for all day productivity with over 20 hours of runtime. The RYOBI 18V ONE+ Magnifying LED Clamp Light can be used as either a lighted magnification lens or a standalone LED light. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of over 300 Cordless Products that all work on the same battery platform. This 18V Magnifying LED Clamp Light is backed by the RYOBI 3-Year Manufacturer's Warranty. Battery and charger sold separately.

Got some new bone conducting ear buds. They are blue tooth and I don't really like wireless headphones so I haven't used any before. The ear buds themselves are very nice. I can hear my podcasts well and still hear people talking around me. It's like having a radio on in the background but it can be racist shit because no one else can hear it. But there are buttons on here and I can't figure out where they are. I read the manual and I see where they are supposed to be, but I can't see or feel the buttons. When it's in my ear, I'm just fingerfucking the whole thing until I hear a beep and the beep never seems to happen when my finger is in the same place. So far I have found 2 reliable ways to find the button.

1. Put them on or take them off. Every goddamn time I will push both buttons. I don't know where you're supposed to grab them without pushing the button because it's not like they're large.
2. I say out loud "Where is that fucking button". Been fucking with them for almost a week now and so far that has worked every time. //Fingerfuck it for a few seconds ... nothing. //Say Where is that fucking button ... immediate beep.

Give me wired bone conducting ear buds and I'll be happy. I tried a couple that claimed to be, but they were really "air conducting" which meant they just had a speaker that was aimed into your ear.

I have one of those which is great for the workbench in my workshop, but when I want to dabble and work at things on my desk up in the front of the house it's a beating to move around.
