In the past it probably would have revolved around money, mansions, and banging hot celebrities.
Today I'd settle for normal dumps, being able to sleep through the night, and no back pain.

Pretty sure the machines can't just alter everyone's minds, else capturing Morpheus would have won them everything right away.

It would not surprise me if everyone lives in the 'city' in the matrix, so no paradise islands or mountain riches.
