How do you recreate your exotics with legendary shards at your level? My base power is 267 but when I recreate them they are still level 16 with power 205.

You can't, they come out 205 and you have to infuse them up.

As far as PVE goes, just wait for the faction rally to start, pledge FWC, and get The Number. It's the best energy AR; HCR does fuck-all in PVE content.

Nothing wrong with Origin Story/Manannan SR4 either. I keep that setup on my warlock so I don't have to bother doing a weapon swap when I go from hunter to warlock.
I know nothing about this Faction Rally stuff. Is this pretty sound advice? FWC?

Faction Rally is a monthly event where you go out and run various activities that will reward tokens for whichever Faction you pledged too for that week. You turn in 20 tokens for a legendary engram that has Faction specific Guns, Armor and Shaders. Each Faction also has a Reward gun that they will give out to their members if they win for like 1k glimmer, but the losing members have to pay 50k glimmer to get. Here is a good write-up:

FWC usually has the best guns, this Rally all the guns seems mediocre, though the FWC pulse and the Dead Orbit AR may turn out to be good.

Are they "good" as in serviceable, or "good" as in better than what's already considered the best of each class of gun? I've been doing a pretty good job of collecting the best weapons of each type and so I wonder if it's even worth bothering.

Does anyone know what the best way to maximize your 3 characters weeklies is? I'm sitting at about 283/285/294. If I do the weakest ones first, I think it'd be better for the 294 guy, but then I'm thinking maybe if I do 294 guy first, it'll boost 283/285 much more than they'd get otherwise. I don't know why I care so much since we've still got plenty of time for December, but I'd like to hit 305 on two if possible.

Not sure about the new ones but "The Number" is like a uriels but it has richocet rounds. FWC also has an awesome hand cannon, kind of like better evils but explosion is not instant and reload is longer. And there is the energy scout 200 RPM, sort of like the mammamamaan. Last time DO had a good hand cannon, rest were garbage, and NM had a good shotty for PVP, rest were garbage, although the energy AR they had might be serviceable on PC now. I just got one of each on console, banked them all except the good ones which I used.

For efficiency and maximization, now that everything has reset, is there an order I should be doing patrols, those blue quests, raids etc?

I hit 285 last night, and noticed that everything dropping was 277. Outside of the raid, what do I need to do to get gear that's above 277?

Here's what I do.

Toss enough gunsmith parts on the Arms Dealer to get an engram, but don't accept.
Check DIM to see what my base power is.
Do a milestone that rewards a Powerful Engram.
Check Arms Dealer again to see if he's offering a higher level engram (he should be, by 1-2 levels).
Run PE's or Strikes or Lost Sectors or whatever til you get a few pieces at the new power level.
Check DIM again and see if you're close to the next level; I've found that generally around xxx.8 that I start getting the next level up. If you're at like xxx.4 with 2 slots left, don't bother running PE's or Lost Sectors though.
Go ahead and do the next milestone and repeat. If you're done on a character, transfer over your highest level weapons to your other characters and start over with them.

That's how you maximize. The higher you get, the less likely increasing the rest of your gear matters though. This is mostly because you'll start filling up all your slots with much higher gear. For instance, on my 294, I really only have 2 slots right now I think that could even increase above my base level. Most of my gear is around 295-297, but my base level is like 289. I don't actually know how that works, because it seems like my base should be higher, but it's not.

What usually happens, though is youre gonna get stuck on RNG fucking you. Thats what happened to me on console. for like 2 weeks I needed 1 piece for 2 characters at 300 and its just all RNG if you get it or not from milestones.

How does the raid play into that? I've heard people talking about high level loot just raining down on them (getting 305 items, etc). And can you run the raid more than once on a single character?

Edit: ^ surprised he doesn't get hit with chest lockout on that. Also, what's the point? Do you need a massive amount of tokens for some reason?

The guns are easy to get for the most part, but the armor is rare as fuck. so if you want whole set, you better farm your ass off. Especially if you want to do all 3 characters. Also this will be the only faction rally for PC this season so its double important. since the sets will proably change next season, so this will be only chance to farm up those sets. Also 30 turn ins is the max before the vendor starts giving you shaders only, so its 600 tokens per faction you want to get. Or less if your RNG is not shit.

I will go FWC for hunter, since its the best looking set for him. I will go NM for titan and DO for warlock.
