    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

This entire genre is creaking under the weight of 25-year old game systems. All paths in an ARPG inevitably lead to the same destination, flying there on autopilot while everything on the screen is autogibbed and the fraction of loot that isn't garbage is autocollected. Wake me when we land.

If you were actually familiar with the platform then you'd realize that you and your normal friends with the 10 viewers between you aren't representative of it and you're certainly not the reason it still exists. And the uncanny valley of gameplay grows ever deeper. Can't wait to explore this exciting, hyper-immersive future as the same decades-old camera on a stick driven by a D-pad and some buttons.

Makes sense that a fur suit instructional vid would be popular among the Emirati when you consider their other degenerate pastimes like shitting on the chests of foreign hookers.

    World of Warcraft: Classic

Blizzard pretending to give a shit by cracking down is just a means to earn them more subs (additional accounts to circumvent caps) while putting on a show for all their disheartened little toadies. That's about as cold-hearted, bottom-line as it gets.

2 years later... the almost sad state of MMOs in the new era

For over 15 years now, retards have assumed that WoW can be dethroned simply by making a better version of it because they don't realize that, for better or worse, WoW is the apotheosis of the entire genre. This belief is tragically comic and akin to the mistaken notion that a system can be...

Only if by "better" you mean higher poly count and texture resolution; by every other measure that actually matters they don't surpass EQ, let alone WoW. In screenshots, Pantheon has that generic plastic quality typical of indie efforts trying to rival those of the big studios (even the latter...

EQEmu is useless for doing anything but running a private EQ server. It'd take more time and effort to tear out all the EQ-specific functionality and retrofit it for your purposes than to just write an ad hoc server from scratch (or employ one of the many off-the-shelf networking solutions...
