    Battletech

Always feel a little bad for the first enemy 'Mech that approaches my squad. If it is not something I need/want, it gets almost instant core'd by an AC/20++ (Accuracy, Crit). I wish they would make it that loot with a + or a ++ would be at the top, right under 'Mech body salvage, instead of...

Skull rating is really messed up... Total tonnage for my squad is around 200t. Two Skull mission. Total enemy weight (all at once - not reinforcements) was 345t... and at least 4 turrets.

    The Netflix Thread

Exactly. His movies are not 'highbrow' and (in my opinion) has not made a good one since Punch Drunk Love, but he has enough of a fanbase that anything he puts out will likely do better than a random movie/show that does not get huge critical acclaim/word of mouth storm.

    The Netflix Thread

Despite what people say about Sandler, his movies are regularly some of the most watched 'new releases'... so Netflix, even with the critical flak, is going to keep them coming.

30ish hours in and no crashes. I do close the game every four or five missions, though, as it starts to run slower and slower. I also keep up with trimming out the old save files.

Lumi was asked. Told. And warned to keep his autism to a minimum. He kept attacking people, rather than trying to discuss or add anything to the conversation. If you cannot follow polite rules, then you go in the 'tard box.

    Venom (2018)

    The D&D thread

A few games of 5th edition in (and lots of finger-walking through the various guide books) and it seems that Casters are once again 'gods' compared to martial classes, which makes me sad. That and the relative low-magic system still have me on the fence. Running with two different groups on...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

If they are going to do a 'crunch' (Items, Stats, Difficulty, etc) every few expansions, they could just do it then. I am just weary of EVERYTHING being reset EVERY expansion. You used to get new skills/talents every expansion. Now they just remove old ones and put the new ones in the previous...

    World of Warcraft: Current Year

The issue is sort of clear to me. They wanted to add something like AA from EverQuest, but are so fucking terrified of alienating their returning/new players, that they chicken out and make it reset, instead of building on it for future expansions.

    Lost in Space

I hand-waved it away as the military leader on the ship having the ability to override it and that their lack of communication prevented it from being done. That or the Indian Colony Leader should have had the ability to do so and I would have the second giant murder lizards showed up.

I really do not trust them at this point to balance classes after the sweeping changes involving the Artifact Weapons, the loss of Tier Sets, and the new Netherlight+ (Heart of Azeroth) system. Guessing this is going to be a shit-show, but I am in for a pound.

    What did you just read?

Any list that puts 'Kingkiller Chronicles' in the top 10, let alone best of the 21st century, is immediately suspect. Would say that this list is one of those diversity first lists, but some of the books have merit. Broken Earth was great. Night Angel starts out as your standard 'kid grows...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

When I first played this game, I did so with an HDD. It was brutal. Particularly in the later acts of the game, where you get many, many fetch and investigation quests that require you to go three or four screens away, then back again. 10-12 second load times for each screen. On my SSD, the...

Pillars of Eternity, Obsidian's new CRPG in the vein of Baldur's Gate

The White March DLC was the best thing about this game. The storyline, once you get into it, is amazing compared to the base game. Other than that, pretty much everything Pyros said is my take.

    Lost in Space

Show had a very rough start and I did not care about anyone other than the robot until the season was almost over. These people have shit survival instincts. Season 2 has potential (if it gets one), overall, it was enjoyable enough that I did not feel like I wasted my time.

    RIP Art Bell

Back when I did overnight security, Coast-2-Coast was one of the only stations I could pick up. He had some real loonies on the show at times, some real interesting guests, but the man always tried to be respectful and to draw people out, rather than attack them or push his own narrative.

Read the entirety of the WORM Web-Serial over the last few weeks. Good story if you like the Superhero genre and do not mind grimdark/apocalypse type scenarios. It is incredibly long. Around 22-Novels worth. It has it's highs and lows, but I was left satisfied. I would have enjoyed it more...
