Yep, super keen for Charterstone. Viticulture is probably my favourite game ever, so I have a huge amount of faith in Jamey.

Codenames is good though more of a party game. Pandemic would work but don't alpha game it. Maybe viticulture, would probably be pushing into too advanced but people might appreciate the theme

FFG Star Wars Destiny, CCG with Dice.

Got to try this last night be Rogue One. Really enjoyed it, nice quick game that still has decent depth and strategy. Probably won't pick it up though since it's still cardboard crack.

    Star Wars : Rogue One

Just saw it. Really like. Has its flaws but overall a great film. As someone who wanted force awakens to be good and was disappointed, this lived up to expectations

I have. Great little 4x style of game. Generally takes 2 hours, regardless of player count but does depend on the players. It's not a war game or even area control even though it looks like one. It's more about building up an engine to gain money and achieve mini goals. Great production value...

Just finished up Meeplecon, 3 day gaming convention here in Melbourne. Had an absolute blast! stayed up way too late every night and felt really exhausted by the end but no regrets whatsoever! I strongly encourage anyone to jump into one, even if only for a day, since it's so much fun. Got to...

What an embarrassing loss. Can't even begin to describe the calamity. Also made me aware of how thin are squad is due to injuries, since Lallana was only one on the bench I could see who might really change things.

    Battlefield 1

Really enjoying this. Was sceptical about the ww1 era but it works really well. Bit annoyed I bought it 2 days ago and ea have it on special for black Friday! Feel free to add me, faillees though I play on Aussie time. Premium worth getting?

Had my birthday on the weekend and scored some nice games. Got Robinson Crusoe, which I've played a couple of times and really enjoyed. Looking forward to getting more in depth with it. Really wish it did 5 players though. 7 Wonders Duel. Not a huge fan of 7 wonders though I want to like it...

Typical that the first battlefield I haven't bought on day 1 since 1942 is getting universal praise! Finally ordered a new video card so hopefully I can jump in on the fun before too long.

    Seafall (No spoilers?)

I haven't looked at the files specifically but you pretty much have to stick with the same group. There are up to 5 'houses' competing in the game so a new player would need to use an unused one if you started with less than 5 or take over one from a player who left

    Seafall (No spoilers?)

Just played third game tonight. Still really enjoying it but it is slowing down a bit. We do have a couple of AP prone people but there's a lot more stuff going on now. Catchup mechanic seems to be pretty well done. I keep second guessing what I should have upgraded.

Figured we could have a thread for Kickstarters. Here's the latest one I'm interested in: Seems to be a hidden role game, aka resistance, set in the world of Euphoria. Haven't played the original game it's based on so not sure how good its mechanics are, but I love resistance and own...

The only advantage to voting her out now was so she's not on the jury. Given her reaction, she's not the sort to pay respect to being well played and will hold a grudge against anyone who votes her out.

    Seafall (No spoilers?)

Latest legacy game, described by its designer as a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones. I was really looking forward to this game for ages but the early reviews turned me and my gaming group off it a bit. I found myself in another group to play it though and so far I'm...

I was pretty surprised by the team we put out given how much Klopp said he was committed to the league cup and we had a near full strength team last round. Great to get the win though with that side.

    Civilization VI

It has the same core issue as Civ for me, which is that it just feels sluggish. It takes ages to do anything. build anything, create an army, move it anywhere. I spent most of the time just clicking next turn. Keep in mind I played Civ4 almost exclusively in marathon speed, so it's not like I'm...

    Frequency

I quite enjoyed the movie though it was just weird enough to get too much mainstream attention. Not sure it needed to be made into a tv series but the pilot was decent enough. Feels like it might be more like the butterfly effect depending how they do every episode.

    Star Trek Beyond (2016)

Watched it today, it's pretty shit and mindless. Was pretty bored for the most part. Most of the plot holes and issues have already been discussed. I did find it funny to see in the credits that Jeff Bezos played a Starfleet Official. If I can be bothered I might go and look for the scene.
