Apparently in EU Shaman are considered top-tier in constructed and arena. They are tier 2 in NA for both. I've been playing around with them and I think it really comes down to correctly manipulating your overload mechanic to really get their paces out of them, but you can just play the standard...

If you're going to spend money, buy Arena entries. You always get a pack and you'll get gold/dust/cards as well. I dumped the money I made off of the RMAH from D3 into it, no regrets, I find the game a ton of fun.

I have two Arcane Intellects for card draw and actually I'll mulligan pretty aggressively hoping to get one. A good number of the spells will often take out multiple targets (Blizzard, Flamestrike, Arcane Missiles+Fireblast, Cone of Cold+Fireblast). I can make Blizzard and Flamestrike more...

No, there was an interview with one of the show's producers and he said that Hamsterdam was based on something that actually happened in Baltimore, that got squashed when people found out (though not the press, like in the show). They got it from one of the consultants they used who was a...

Since so many decks run cards that do nothing but remove minions, I'm running a zero-minion mage deck. Lost to a Warrior who armored so many times that fatigue killed me first, we both ran out of cards. But it seems to give me some natural card advantage and limits their responses, probably due...

Can't believe how fast tools are developing for Hearthstone. There is an app that grabs info from your stream to the Hearthstone servers and compiles win/loss stats for you. All these websites popping up... crazy stuff.

I lose to Priests just outhealing and using card draw to always have a response a lot. If they get a bad draw I nuke them down though.

What classes do you think are strongest in arena? I'd probably put Priest, Mage, Warrior, and Paladin near the top. Obviously it always depends on what you draft, a Warrior with no weapons doesn't usually do very well. Warlock and Hunter near the bottom. Not sure about the rest. Also do you...

    Storing large DVD collection

I can find obscure films that that pre-date home video (i.e., they had limited theatrical releases on reels and nothing else) online. Granted not everything is online, but most movies are. And if it has been released on DVD it almost certainly is. Really doesn't take anything but time and bandwidth.

Don't think the odds of Wizards doing anything like that are very high. As a company they have missed a lot of good opportunities. Also the original MTG in Alpha wasn't much more complex. It was more complex, but not a lot. But as far as being competitive goes, Hearthstone is shiny and...

I like his Priest deck actually. Also the rush-to-kill first Mage deck is pretty interesting. Debating if I should craft a legendary or not, I have enough dust for one and Rag is used in so many top-end decks.

    Hearthstone

There were some close games, but SW:P mostly kept the board clear. My one loss was to a Rogue who played nothing but minions that spawned other minions. If I'd had a Holy Nova or something it would have been fine.

    Hearthstone

Finally went 9-1 in an arena, but I don't think it counts. I drafted 8 mind controls and 6 SW:P to keep me alive till I could use them. There really needs to be some kind of limit like in constructed.

Well I imagine in most cases the stuff people upload is maxed out 60s. But you could ask someone here who is at roughly the progression point, has to be someone, to give you a save file close to where you were. I'd do it but I don't have the console version.

On an unrelated note I am doing pretty well in constructed with my Mage deck. I was running the deck that won one of the Managrinds and it felt a little inconsistent and I wanted to explore having a pure-spell deck. Been tinkering with it all day and starting to get a really solid win rate. Only...

Just remember Microsoft's fiscal year is July to June and Sony's is April to March. So "end of December" is Q2 for Microsoft and Q3 for Sony. That shouldn't have an impact on picking an end date, of course, but it could be confusing.

Apparently there is a bug where you can lock the timer. Maybe they are trying and failing to pull it off? It involves letting the timer get almost to zero and then playing certain cards. Once you pull it off just afk until your opponent leaves. Stupid.

Well as I see it you have launch day (pre-order argument certainly should only include this number), sales up to and including Black Friday, holiday sales (up till New Years, gotta include the post-Christmas sales). It is infinite based on statistics, that is what the sigma notation in the wiki article is telling you. That is the point of the problem... foddon is right about why all those other games are not infinite. They are programmed/designed to be non-infinte, no matter what. Which is precisely why...

Doing pretty well with with a warrior deck using weapons for board clearance and an aggro mage deck. I suck at arena though. But the premise of the problem, mathematically, is that the game has an infinite value. But as long as the game has an infinite value, itnever actually ends. That is what the math tells you. You can't have the infinite value without having the game never end. Missing the premise of the...
