If that's really the situtation, you'll likely be far better off taking on short-term debt and paying yourself back in the future when your assets recover. Do the math before you shotgun yourself in the foot. Also, there's a lesson in here about investing/trading with funds you'll need for...

Yeah. My dad is an economist convinced that everything is overvalued so he went almost entirely cash waiting for the crash... a position he's been sitting at since S&P 2700. But he'll be right any day now. SMH.

I had some wrestler friends who I'm pretty sure had their growth stunted by trying to cram into lower weight classes for years on end. Adults risking their kidneys for competition is one thing, but kids, nope.

It's generally illegal to deliver unsolicited goods or services and then try to extract payment. If anything the contractor is obligated to restore the original condition of the property if the owner desires. (Edit: Ninjaed!) Unrelated:

With a single same-day weigh in they'd just fight dehydrated, which presents significantly more risk for joint and brain injury. The only good suggestion I've seen to prevent cutting is to do what ONE is attempting and measure weight and hydration levels over a several weeks prior to the fight...

I'm down about 6% despite being mostly in the S&P because I had liquidated a bunch at ~4500 for a house down payment, ended up not buying, and got to put it back in variously between 4075-4200. Hard to complain too much when my base case would have been to just ride it out.

Yes, if you want to zero in on the semantic difference between "needs" carbohydrates as in "you die if you don't have them" vs "your body works more efficiently if you consume them". You CAN live indefinitely on a pure protein/fat diet, but that's obviously neither the mix we're built for (see...

VOO has an ever so slightly lower expense ratio (0.03% vs 0.04%). Vanguard has been pushing people towards the ETFs vs mutual funds for a while now. ETFs also have the advantage of trading immediately versus end of day for the funds. I had almost everything in funds for a long time, but when I...

I think that's backwards. "The diet of the earliest hominins was probably somewhat similar to the diet of modern chimpanzees: omnivorous, including large quantities of fruit, leaves, flowers, bark, insects and meat (e.g., Andrews & Martin 1991; Milton 1999; Watts 2008). Tooth morphology and...

If by "carbs" you mean processed and agricultural starches, yeah, but if you mean it literally as chemical carbohydrates they've been a primary component of diet forever in the form of fruits and vegetables.
