If they're not immediate family I say, "Honestly, I have a lot invested in this gear, and materials are expensive. I'd be happy to do it for you at cost if you like." And then "cost" is whatever you want, scaled by how much you like them and how much free time you currently have.

Fractals are cool and I've seen this technique a bunch in my Instagram feed. I've also been electrocuted a couple times and this sets off most of my "that looks like a bad fucking idea" warning bells. (Start at 7:20 if the timestamp doesn't work. Gnarly survivor hand photo at 13:04.)

I do a lot of work with paper mills. Green hardwoods are ~45% water by mass and softwoods can be upwards of 55%. For woodworking that should ideally come down to ~10%. It's why drying lumber is such a finnicky process.

    Health Problems

I've been battling similar shit for months due to screen time. I have a permanent twitch in my lower eyelid and my right eye has trouble focusing on distances > 10 feet. It gets better if I spend 2-3 outside and in the workshop, but I have a desk job.

The amount of deflection would be the same on the top and bottom of each cut, so they're still parallel, if not necessarily level (ignoring the tiny curvature in the bend of the bar).

Clippings in your lawn can cause buildup that shelters pests and fungus. Some people say it can make allergies worse. Side discharge tends to pile up and cut off light to the grass underneath, plus is ugly. Mulching is kind of a middle ground where theoretically the smaller pieces decay faster...

Just as a gentle criticism, wood movement is why most tables are constructed with the grain running in the long direction of the top. The way you've set it up could get 3-4x more shifting than if the grain were oriented the other way. On the other hand, if it's already well-acclimated and going...

I can count on a couple fingers the times my dad actually laid hands on me, but he sure had the knack of putting the fear of god into us with expressions and body language. 0% chance they don't have 100 more people and/or a bunch of earth movers just off camera. I remember reading some articles about how these are all funded by urban production companies who rake in all the YT revenue. Many of these builds are in the same woods just out of camera shot of each other:

I can understand Magnus' position. He's fucking bored of playing 12-14 high-pressure classical games against a single opponent and he's played and beaten the likely winners already. Pedantic correction: If you use the planer your two sides will always be parallel (at least at any given opposing point), since what a planer does is remove stock to a given thickness. They are not guaranteed to be straight, however, which is the primary purpose of the jointer. Edit: If he used...

It wasn't that bad. I worked backwards from the planer bed and figured out where the pivot point needed to be given the 2x4 framing for the platform base and the 1.5'' base it's sitting on. Then for the miter saw I inset its base because it's got a taller working height than the planer. Both...

Disagree. Games cost money to make and I don't mind paying a few bucks to get to baseline utility once I know I like the game. F2P mode is a convenience-compromised demo, not a full-service perpetual right. I feel much worse about buying cosmetics that don't do anything for me. As far as D4...

I think the industry has taken the virtues of mobile fully backwards. The point is so the player can play when and where WE want, not be forced to play when the devs want. Why are we allowing ourselves to put up with this shit? This game had better tank long-term or else we'll jut get more of...
