The most interesting thing about it is what didn't happen. Like Chaos said, that they could have used that Season to redefine the show. And I kept thinking up until about the last 2 episodes of that season that they were trying to head that direction. But they just hit the reset button...

Three 90 minute to 120 minute episodes would probably be a really good thing. Just take the time to get something really fleshed out so that you can have a good clever, character driven story instead of monster of the week + gimmick + callback to previous episodes/lore in the name of fan...

It's actually pretty good for a superhero show. Not sure i'm really in the mood for it, but the production values are high. The acting is good. The writing doesn't seem bad either. It hits all the boxes. Thumbs up.

Six episodes next year? Mmm... they might as well cancel it. Those have to be 6 mindblowing episodes or else it's fork time. Just based on this season and it's lack of mindblowing (it's ranged from "ugh" to "that was ok") I'm really not sure that they -can- be.

I thought Lumen was ok too. The seasons after that were complete crap, but the lumen season was only like 45% crap. It was the turning point for sure, though.
