It seems Ideology might be a bad time to add from what I saw, pawns might get weird default settings. Royalty and Biotech seems to be safe to add though. Might get Biotech as it seems to match the Odyssey quite well. Then get the rest when I start a new game.

Haha did not know you could make animals attack. Poor Seals. Looking at the DLCs, they all sound cool besides maybe Anomaly. Being able to have kids would suit the Gravship. Also Ideology could help and Royalty with the new Armors. Can I activate them on a current save if I do get them?
