GoT - Is Over, Post Your Drogon Sightings

didn't know that reference, had to google it: Shaggy dog story - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Now that I've learned a new thing, I'm sure I'll hear the same reference several times this week. Fake simulation of reality, I'm on to you.

I see what you mean and I agree with your criticisms of it. Having done much more of the 'compete at release, build a castle and then defend it for the rest of the server's life' than the campaign option in GW2/ESO I feel like I have more pride in our 72-4 record in GW2 and bringing 4 different...

    Better Call Saul

It'd be cool if they did a Spanish spinoff series on Gus and his time in Chile, and marketed it to a hispanic audience and made it very Chilean.

    Better Call Saul

I agree 100% with your perception. It's interesting because the show sets up the audience completely. We see Chuck as the crazy and useless old man. Everyone around Chuck reveres him completely, to the point of being intimidated by him. It's a strong juxtaposition. We then see Hamlin who...

Keeps were primarily flipped because you could PvD easily. The large-scale strategy when we played was based on weakening an enemy's position, distracting them and then capitalizing and taking the keep before they could respond. If you organize your game such that keeps have to be baned this...

Oh cool, who are you on West? Are you with Aquanauts? That's true and a problem I think. ESO was the same way, the alpha was better than release. It's hard to imagine it being more competitive though.

Yep. It's why I pretty much stay away from it and advise anyone I want to play with to do the same. It's one thing if you want to experience a really raw game in a constantly changing state, but I think people get hyped on alphas and think they're going to play it for years when it comes out.

    Mass Effect 4(Untitled)

I understand that the game cycle makes this a little awkward in that many developers, especially the writers, sound, art, level designers etc, move on from a core game long before it's published. However my thought is that the game's release represents the totality of what that developer has...

It'd be more epic but I think Raes quit very soon after AA was released. Like many people he spent more time preparing for a game than playing it when it was released. For more examples of this please see the Star Citizen, Camelot Unchained and Crowfall threads.

I'm a legal layman but wouldn't 3.06 allow anti-gay marriage counselors to call counseling a gay marriage a conflict of interest? and what does this mean?

Can counselors/psychiatrists decline a patient for personal reasons that would cause them to perform poorly? To me the job of psychiatry is much more personal than a doctor. Someone who felt they would do a poor job because of their personal bias should feel responsible for declining.

No, I'm not. I think the law should be struck down and probably will be. My core argument here is this: If you disagree with something, and are asked to do some work that is directly impacted by that something, you shouldn't be forced to do it. Especially if your ability to perform at that...

    Indiana...Religious Freedom eh? *sigh*

I feel like for psychiatry and counseling they have reason to decline for professional reasons. If you think the solution to gays is to pray the gay away I think it's reasonable to decline any request to counsel a gay relationship. This isn't true of your emergency example. If a dude gets a...

I think that's a good question. At face value I'd say that a photographer, like a baker, photographs things. But, like a baker can choose what they make, they can choose what they photograph. Photographing a gay wedding is different because a wedding cake is just a wedding cake, but a photograph...

I agree and I don't think anyone is arguing you, as a baker, should be forced to cook any cake a customer wants. AFAIK it'd be totally legal for you to refuse to cook red velvet cakes on grounds that no one should put 2 tablespoons of food coloring in a cake. The same goes for a baker being...

No offense to you guys and sorry for springboarding on you on an even worse derail than black rights, but this is why I have the opinion I do. People reach a stalemate talking about gay rights and the first thing they try is to argue about racial rights. It's totally unnecessary.

I've said what I want. The argument for gay marriage stands on its own two feet. Basing the conversation on whether we can leverage the civil rights war from the 60s is sophomoric. I don't like opening a thread about gays and seeing people throw blacks around like a football, just like I don't...

I don't think I presented my statement well. I agree it's an apt comparison and the people arguing against gay rights now have a lot of similarities arguing against black rights 50 years ago. My point is that it's a cheap and distracting argument to make. To me it says, "I can't justify that...

As an aside, I feel like people who defend gay rights by comparing it to blacks and the civil right movement automatically lose. It's like the gay civil rights version of godwinning, where the first person who tries to call someone a racist because of an issue on gay rights loses.

It's funny to see the behind the scenes shots with the 300 guys where its apparent how painted their muscles are, especially their abs. It's not a slight on 300 though. They had to go for a very exaggerated look. As for Jackman being on steroids, who cares. I'm sure he follows a...
