    Bandwagon's Drones Thread

In this case it could go outside of the controller range? That is exactly what I would like to do. I will have to look into this more. Also, can you fly at night? And is there a way for the drone to take a waypoint? We were out until 4 in the morning last week trying to find a fire in...

    Bandwagon's Drones Thread

I have a total newbie question on this. I recently read that the DJI Mavic Pro 2 is about to come out with a 5 mile range. I'm under the impression that you are not allowed to fly these things out of your own visual range. Is this true? Is it enforced? Do people follow this rule? The...

    Sturgill Simpson - A Sailor's Guide to Earth - Coming April 15th

If you guys like Sturgill, you should check out some of his compatriots in the "not on the radio" country scene. Jason Isbell - This guy is my favorite. Margo Price - and somewhat more mainstream but still really good, Chris Stapleton. Seems more like blues than country to me but he...

    Pets

I'm not sure if that's what you're saying, but IMO people who say that a working dog can't also be a pet don't know what they're talking about. I have a neighbor that won't let anyone pet their working dogs because he thinks that it will spoil them but the big border collie in the above picture...

I like powerade zero too but for some reason the 8-packs only come in 3 flavors and none of them is lemon-lime. You can buy individual bottles in lots of flavors but the 8-packs only come in red, blue, and purple.

    Fargo

Seriously? I mean I know none of the show or the movie actually took place in Fargo, but Kansas City is 3 large states away. How can they still call it Fargo? Fucking hollywood people think the midwest is all the same.

Scenes from movies you didn't like that stuck with you

I loved that scene but in my mind this and "Scent of a Woman" (another great movie) mark the point where Pacino kind of jumped the shark and just started snarling all his lines.

Unless it's several inches thick, even if it doesn't split while it's drying, it's going to break in half the first time you drop it. People make end-grain cutting boards, but they do it by gluing a bunch of pieces together. A round piece of a log like that is just to be super fragile once it...

    Smokers / Grills

Everything from thermoworks is worth the money IMO. I have 4 of their thermometers including the smoke and they are rock solid. Also when I broke the battery cover on my 5 year old thermapen I ordered a new one and the order form asked me why I was buying it. I said it was because my old one...

2018 NFL Offseason Thread -- Philadelphia Burning Edition

I'm surprised to see people ranking the 49ers above the Rams. I do think Garoppolo is probably better than Goff, but in any other part of the team it seems like the Rams have the edge. Or are people just thinking that the Rams crazy offseason spending spree is going to backfire on them? It...

Are we fucked as a species?

Jobs have been going away because of technology since the industrial revolution and every technological revolution has made humans more prosperous and healthy. In 1840, farmers made up 69% of the US workforce. Today it's under 2% and yet we make more food now than we did then by orders of...

The Georgia guy was a state senator right? Not a US senator? In rural areas you need like 300 votes to be a state senator, especially in a year without other major candidates on the ballot, and people usually don't even know who they are voting for in the state races and just vote their party...

Same here. It will not pay for itself 90% of the time. Personally I'm not a fan of worrying about resale value on your house unless you're going to sell it in the next couple years. It's the building you live in. You should make it the way you want it, not the way some self proclaimed real...

I wonder if it's going to pick up where it left off or be a "10 years later" type deal. It seems like the latter would be easier to pull off since obviously everyone is 10 years older and Cy is dead. On the other hand, I'm not sure what's going to be "resolved" in a down the line episode. The...

It definitely doesn't keep up the quality from the first couple seasons, but it never gets too terrible and it ends well. When it comes to Michael C. Hall shows, they both went downhill, but 6 feet under never got close to as bad as Dexter in the late seasons.

This is good advice, and not only for the benefits, but for the possible drawbacks if you get off on the wrong foot. Yeah, with no sugar it's not going to form a crust like real BBQ sauce. It will be interesting to see what happens but I wouldn't expect a good outcome. FWIW, you can also do ribs in the pressure cooker and finish under the broiler with very good results and way less time.
