You might want to follow in mmorpg.com's footsteps and ask, "Why did you choose to go to kickstarter?", "Some PvP games get old because one player ends up dominating the board, how do you plan on stopping that?" "Can you read the feature list to me like a Best Buy employee?"

I use references whenever possible and pointers when it's not possible. Pointers are much more versatile and much easier to screw up.

It'd be cool if every EK had a bloodstone that increased in potency based on how big the EK was. This bloodstone would confer some passive benefit or whatever. And every week each monarchy could attempt to take another EK's bloodstone by baning and attacking their EK. They would then have the...

The other big question is how to determine the rewards for a given campaign. In GW2 the campaigns were split up into tiers with a clear delineation. If you weren't in Tier1 few people in the general community cared if you won (the only time it was that exciting was when an influx of players...

Haha I think the same thing. If he turns out to be her father and he legitimately cares about her the show will get to a new level of unbelievability. If he loved her he would've never approached her and let her be a boring FBI profiler and fill in Sweet's position on Bones. Instead...

Ok sure. It's the Orgrimmar/Dalaran/Plane of Knowledge of Crowfall. But they're hyping up a big part of the reward system to give you resources to build that place. I can understand wanting to make a base of operations and build up top rank crafting/skill areas ala Shadowbane, but is there...

The question is how much PvP is acceptable to those players. If they want to be completely safe and be able to farm in peace, then they can find another game. If they want to be able to find low-risk/low-reward areas and farm while experiencing the risk of PvP but not have to fight every second...

Consider the logitech g600 instead: Amazon.com: Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, Black: Computers Accessories It's the same feature set as the naga but has fewer reliability issues. Flex, that FAQ answers a lot, but really fails to answer why a PvPer would want to spend time in the EK. If...

It's a little condescending to ask a game producer if he's ever played an FPS and to put his hand on a keyboard. Maybe you should phrase your question, "How many abilities do you expect a player to have access to during combat? Will it be the 50+ that WoW has, or more like 8 that ESO has? How do...

I thought that was funny too, they kind of squirmed when shit talking their VC funding and talked around that they got 2.7million or whatever VC. I was hoping we'd get 500k before midnight EST. I still think it'll be funded by Saturday though.

I'm surprised that C# has increased so much in the last few years. Then again I'm completely insulated by my usage of C/C++ over the last few years. I don't know what its usage is in embedded programming and robotics but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 80%.

I second Lasch's question. My big questions are: 1. Can you go into more detail about the Dregs? How can a guild work together in the Dregs? What is a victory condition? How does a player get chosen as a winner/loser? 2. The reason the early game in MMOs is exciting is because poopsock...

Basically. The rewards aren't that great. For us it was always just a fun guild event and a good opportunity to try out new strats, give new leaders some experience leading large raids, set an example of how to properly lead raids etc.

Overhyped would probably be different rulesets, because it's an invitation for every special snowflake to imagine their favorite ruleset, or all the koolaid drinkers to sweep any potential problems under the rug under the pretense that it'll be fixed with different rulesets. Another overhyped...

Yeah that's a fair bet. Thief, bard, cleric, illusionist, shaman, necromancer, shadowknight, tinkerer(forgemaster?) etc seem to be missing. Come to think of it, a necromancer is the biggest omission given the focus on undead in this game. It'd be interesting to have a class that started off kind...

From what I can tell players can only set the rules in the EK tier, which has no resources. No telling what character advancement can happen in the EK vs where the cool kids are in the dregs. Sure, the devs set the winning conditions, but what winning conditions make sense in the dregs? A...

found this: Sounds like they are considering having monarch vs monarch fights. I wonder how the scaling will work. It could be that having mega-sized monarchies is the most rewarding and guilds like PRX would unite with other guilds. Or it could be that the more fealties you get the more...

Sure, that makes sense. But what else will you be able to do? Does the PvP crowd really want to go sit in a kingdom and jerk off in the guild house? Is there any opportunity for PvP and conquering other people's kingdoms? Can you use the kingdom to either train or import resources into a campaign?
