Yep. I can send you the schematics for it. Let's see if I have a SS on here... Building those towers and those walls in survival mode was fun. The worst part was planting/harvesting/laying down the floors, but we got some schlub to do that. Note that this image was taken on a...

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I hit max level a few days after release, then spent almost all my time in one of a few farming areas or all the places you PvP or raid mobs at. Every once in a while I'll return to a zone I leveled in that is now chock full of houses. It is a pretty dramatic change.

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

AA is definitely a traditional MMO. Very limited instancing, strict servers, ability for players to dramatically change the world, no zoning.

Star Citizen Online - The search for more money

I think a lot of people will play it as if it's an MMO. But right now their hype is to cater to the MMO, singleplayer and instanced multiplayer crowd.

After years of neglect Fonv starts up NP. Only problem is no mobs have animations Hana. I have forgotten how much of a demigod I am and how many areas I've explored. I'll post ss of my character and the map later. Between a world of pain and warzones there are a lot of areas.

IT/Software career thread: Invert binary trees for dollars.

Sometimes it's less about whether the knowledge you learned in school is relevant and it's more about proving you are qualified enough to get a degree. Yeah there's a lot of bums who glide their way through college somehow, but having a 4 year CS degree from a decent university and having a...

Haha I'll see if FONV still starts up. I doubt it will be anything interesting, I never really cared about modding cool armor/clothing in, and try to avoid using modded weapons. Sometimes it's hard to avoid though.

Science!! Fucking magnets, how do they work?

Important piece: The challenge with computer vision often isn't how precise or how many objects can be classified, but how well it handles corner cases of occluded, shadowed, reflective or otherwise degraded images. If you a person a set of 100 small images, 50 of which have dogs and 50 of...

    Fallout 4

Not sure what the apprehension about a coop/multiplayer FO4 is. FO3 was basically a big-budget singleplayer DayZ/h1z1 with a lot of NPCs, quests and built up areas, right? The other major counterpoint to FO3/NV being necessarily lonely is is how popular party members were in FO3. Making...

"Hookers/strippers play video games". If they can follow a script and are comedic it'd be like the sexualized version of Conan plays video games.

If you have good content that people want, getting it out is easy. It's not like music where you have a few talented musicians in a band who are missing a proper recording studio, expert advice and marketing to get exposure. If you produce some good content for gaming the community it's targeted...

My kid lost 10% also, probably because labor was a disaster and feeding him the first week was a shitshow. I learned that some kids have early teeth at birth, I forget if they are technically baby teeth or not.

I'd say content is 90% of the job and getting the content out there is 10%. Plus there are many more people who can do that 10% than do the 90%.

Yeah if your kid started puberty and is a monster compared to 5th graders then sending him in the threaten a 5th grader is probably a bad idea.

So my daughter comes home from school crying. Send in the big brother?

How old is the brother? I feel like if he's in high school he can't come to the school and beat up a bunch of 5th graders. But if he's a 7th grader it's just his job.

Would not mind having no currency and using a barter system. It seems like it could add some variety to the early game. However it also makes the game a little bit of a pain in the ass to trade in. I enjoyed PoE's lack of currency but only because it was new. After a while it was just a hassle.

    Standing Desk

I feel like the standing desk market has to be pretty sweet. People who are dumb enough to buy into standing desks are probably also dumb enough to buy into buying $40 worth of laminate, particle board and steel for $400 because the marketing has the same words as the standing desk marketing.

It all goes back to the conflict of interest discussion earlier. If these guys put out cosmetic items behind a paywall and make them tradeable, then see that 90% of the cash shop sales were subsequently sold for gold and the whales are consistently the best geared players in a campaign it'd be a...

I agree. It doesn't matter whether the items confer any combat benefit, just whether there is a market for it. If you put tabards, dye, appearance-changing items, character/bag slot expansion etc behind a paywall and then allow people to buy it and sell it for gold you're just adding a...

I wonder what personal kingdom means. I doubt this is the case but if you have to pay $5 for every person after 20 to add to your guild that would be funny.
